Teddi Mellencamp is getting real about her health struggles.

Previously on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” one of the cast members posted an update about her health, approximately fourteen days following an urgent operation to extract various brain tumors.

On February 26th, Teddi expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the exceptional surgeons, doctors, and nursing staff whose skilled hands turned her operation into a triumph and have made her post-surgery journey more bearable. (108 characters)

She admitted openly, “We found more tumors than anticipated – a total of 4.” She added, “Although the battle isn’t yet won, this particular round can be considered victorious.

43-year-old woman expressed gratitude towards her friends, family, particularly her ex-husband Edwin Arroyave’s children Slate (age 12), Cruz (age 10), and Dove (age 5), for their “humor, backing, and understanding” during this difficult period.

In her message to her supporters, she expressed gratitude for the abundance of love and prayers as she progresses with her treatment. She assured them that their kindness is noticed, providing her with strength.

In early February, Teddi looked for healthcare assistance due to persistent, excruciating headaches that left her incapacitated.

In a February 12 Instagram post, she explained that the pain she experienced the day before was so severe it necessitated a hospital visit. Subsequent scans, including a CT scan and MRI, revealed several tumors in her brain, which doctors suspect have been developing for at least half a year.

At that moment, Teddi mentioned that she was planning to undergo a surgery to remove the larger tumors. The smaller ones, however, would be treated with radiation at a later point in time.

And for the Bravo star’s family, the experience has been a roller coaster of emotions.

In February 2025, an actress from the show “Even Stevens” revealed that she had been wounded by a gunshot to her face while they were out shooting clay targets to celebrate her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday.

Despite the internet sometimes being unkind, Amy Schumer is grateful it provided answers for her in this situation. Recounting an episode of Call Her Daddy from January 2025, she said, “The internet really went after me following a series of press interviews, and I was like, ‘Everyone calm down,'” Amy recalled. “But then medical professionals started commenting, saying they thought something was wrong. They were like, ‘No no, we think something’s up. Your face looks so strange that we think something’s wrong.’ I found myself being trolled by doctors!”

After these doctors suggested she might have Cushing syndrome due to elevated cortisol levels or steroid injections, the creator of Life & Beth thought, “Wait, I’ve been getting steroid injections for my scars.”

“I had a breast reduction, a C-section, and other procedures, so I was receiving these steroid injections,” Amy explained. “This resulted in me developing Cushing syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known about if the internet hadn’t been so critical of me.”

Now, Amy is simply relieved to know she’s healthy. As she wrote in a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Finding out that the type of Cushing syndrome I have will resolve itself and I am healthy was the best news possible.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber, the skincare entrepreneur, experienced a terrifying ordeal during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber. She began exhibiting symptoms similar to a stroke, leaving her unable to respond or speak properly. As she struggled to express herself, the right side of her face drooped.

Hailey recounted this incident a month later on YouTube, stating that Justin had asked if she was okay and she couldn’t immediately respond. When she tried to speak, she couldn’t form a sentence. After seeking medical attention, it was discovered that she had suffered a small blood clot in her brain, known as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA).

Further tests at the University of California, Los Angeles revealed a hole in Hailey’s heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). It was determined that the blood clot had traveled into her heart, escaped through the PFO, and reached her brain, causing the TIA.

Hailey underwent a successful procedure to close the hole in her heart and reported feeling well since then.

In the same year Hailey went through her health crisis, Justin also faced one of his own. More specifically, in 2022, the “Baby” singer announced he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a condition that led to temporary paralysis of parts of his face and caused him to halt the rest of his Justice World Tour.

To clarify, this syndrome affects nerves in his ear and facial area, causing one-sided paralysis on his face as he explained in an Instagram video. At the time, he pointed out that he couldn’t blink from one eye, smile on the affected side of his face, or move the nostril on that side. In other words, there was full paralysis on the affected side of his face.

He also shared that eating became progressively harder for him during this period. However, over time, the paralysis subsided.

Hailey expressed optimism about Justin’s recovery during a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America, stating that he was feeling much better despite the sudden and frightening situation. She later added that he would fully recover.

Initially, Jamie Foxx chose not to disclose the details of his hospitalization in April 2023. However, during his Netflix special in 2024 titled “What Had Happened Was…”, he revealed what transpired. In Atlanta one day, he experienced a severe headache and asked for an aspirin, but before he could get it, he fainted and lost consciousness for approximately 20 days.

Upon visiting a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, his sister Deidra Dixon became concerned and drove him to a hospital where they discovered he had suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke. After undergoing surgery on the 20th day, Foxx woke up in a wheelchair on May 4 and was unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

Emilia underwent immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, describing the pain as unbearable. While recovering, she experienced aphasia and spoke incoherently.
A week later, her aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month’s stay.
In 2013, during another brain scan, she learned that the growth had doubled in size, requiring another surgery. She recalled waking up from the procedure with intense pain as it had failed, and her chances of survival were slim if they didn’t operate again. This time, they needed to access her brain through her skull.
Fortunately, she is now reportedly fully recovered and in good health.

Following a “severe stroke” in January 2024, Cori’s loved ones swiftly gathered to support her.

In an interview with TopMob News‘ correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024, she shared, “I informed them I had a stroke and sent them a picture. Everyone rushed to help me.”

Due to additional health complications, Cori’s hospital stay was extended beyond her initial expectations.

“Initially, I could have returned home after the stroke,” she continued in her interview for Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story. “However, my lupus wasn’t responding well. My kidneys were failing, and there was a lot going on.”

Today, Cori is making progress in her recovery.

“I’m doing well,” she added. “I had to regain some motor skills, but aside from that, I was okay.

During my twenties, my health wasn’t the best it could be. It even got to the point where I was losing my hearing, struggling to walk for extended periods without needing long rests, and experiencing severe stomach pain with almost every meal. Different doctors gave me various diagnoses, but nothing seemed quite right.

Determined to find answers, I turned to a holistic approach, combining traditional medical treatments with alternative healing methods. With a background in herbalism, I sought help from both mainstream physicians and independent healers. This journey took nearly a decade.

During that time, my physical discomfort led to mental struggles as well. I developed fears around food, body dysmorphia, and questions about my identity and safety within my own body.

Thankfully, after focusing on both my physical and mental health, I’m now in a much better place. I’m pleased to say that I’m healthy once again.
