I’m about to wrap up my observation on the first season of “Dragon Ball Daima,” with just one episode left before it concludes. This final installment seems to be as long as previous episodes, which means there’s a lot left to unfold before Goku and his companions depart from the Demon Realm. As a fellow shonen fan, I can’t help but wonder what significant details Akira Toriyama will unveil in this upcoming finale. As we eagerly await the conclusion, here are a few key aspects I’m hoping to see addressed before the curtains close on this captivating anime series featuring the Z-Fighters.
The twentieth episode of “Dragon Ball Daima” is set to air tomorrow, February 28th, on both Crunchyroll and Hulu. Previously in the series, Goku utilized Super Saiyan 4 power, but this time as a grown adult. Although Demon Lord Gomah was often comical throughout the show, his acquisition of the Evil Third Eye has made him no laughing matter, defeating Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta. With limited time remaining, it will be intriguing to see what tactics Goku employs to vanquish this colossal antagonist.
Where is Gohan?
It’s noticeable that one of the main characters who has been missing from Dragon Ball Daima is Gohan. Despite being known as Goku’s son, who was supposed to be engrossed in studies, we haven’t seen him either as a child or an adult throughout the series. As the story unfolds before Beerus and Whis meet the Z-Fighters, initiating Dragon Ball Super, it was not likely that we would witness Gohan transform into Great Ape Gohan. However, even a brief appearance of the powerful scholar could have given fans a satisfying moment.
What Does Neva Really Want?
Initially, Neva The Namekian appeared to be on the path to becoming the main antagonist in “Dragon Ball Daima,” but he later teamed up with the Z-Fighters and played a crucial role in Goku’s acquisition of his Super Saiyan 4 form. Though Piccolo may outmatch him in raw power, Neva’s diverse array of abilities makes him one of the most intriguing new additions to the series. It seems that Neva might be seeking excitement in his later years, but clarifying his ultimate objective would provide valuable insight. On a related note, the enigma surrounding Super Saiyan 4 remains compelling.
What is Super Saiyan 4 in Daima?
Fans of Dragon Ball are well-versed with the concept of Super Saiyan 4, having first seen it in Dragon Ball GT and later in Dragon Ball Heroes and numerous video games. However, Daima has yet to shed light on how or why this transformation occurs. Is it a form that can only be accessed in the Demon Realm, or is it exclusive to Saiyans near Namekians? While we’d love an explanation of its origins, there’s some concern that it might not receive the detailed explanation many fans are anticipating.
Where Was All This In Dragon Ball Super?
It’s reasonable that the Demon Realm wasn’t featured in Dragon Ball Super, as creator Akira Toriyama came up with the concept much later than introducing Super Saiyan God and Ultra Instinct. However, there are several unresolved questions about the sequel series that leave us puzzled. For instance, if Vegeta could transform into a Super Saiyan 3 all along, why didn’t he use this form against Beerus during their initial encounter? And why did Goku never try to use his Super Saiyan 4 power? Furthermore, what has the Demon Realm been doing throughout the events of Super? There are quite a few moments in Dragon Ball Super that leave us scratching our heads, particularly at the end of Daima’s finale.
What Will Become of The Demon Realm?
In the event that Gomah’s life isn’t ended by the Z-Fighters, it would be catastrophic to let him continue ruling the Demon Realm. If Goku defeats the villain, who will assume the mantle of rulership in the underworld? Potential candidates so far include Glorio, Dr. Anisu, Neva, and perhaps even Pixie’s father. However, there haven’t been many clues as to where the Demon Realm is headed. Could it be possible that the finale of “Daima” brings about a new golden age for the Demon Realm?
Will There Be A Daima Season 2?
Initially, when Dragon Ball Daima initially aired, it wasn’t marketed as a series with just a single season. There is a strong possibility that the series could continue with another season, delving deeper into the Demon Realm during the period preceding the start of Dragon Ball Super. Shonen enthusiasts are also keeping their hopes high that the anime might unexpectedly announce the return of the television series for Dragon Ball Super. Since the Tournament of Power concluded in 2017, there has been a noticeable absence of Super on our screens. The manga features two significant storylines – Moro and Granolah Arcs – that could potentially provide several new seasons for viewers, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for some surprises from Daima for shonen fans.
