This past week, the One Piece series unexpectedly disclosed some significant information about a topic that shonen enthusiasts had been pondering for a while now. While characters like Luffy, Nico Robin, Tony Tony Chopper, and numerous sea adventurers have utilized the power of Devil Fruits, there is another type of power that certain pirates utilize. This particular power is called Conqueror’s Haki, which can be wielded by only a select few. It appeared that Eiichiro Oda’s creation had indicated that Zoro could harness this power. However, it seems One Piece may have reconsidered following a major correction.
For quite some time, numerous enthusiasts of the “One Piece” series have speculated that Zoro possesses the power known as Conqueror’s Haki. This ability allows pirates to temporarily incapacitate those with weaker spirits nearby or channel the energy into their weapons when necessary. In an imminent release titled “Birthday Cards”, a character profile for Zoro explicitly stated that he could utilize this energy. However, the cards themselves appear to have been withdrawn, causing a stir among fans who claim they saw Zoro using the power during his battle against Kaido in the Wano Arc. This unexpected retraction has left many fans questioning whether “One Piece” is backing away from its previous confirmation.
Roronoa Zoro Might Not Be A Conqueror Yet
In an unexpected twist, Jump Shop Tokyo removed their initial post about the upcoming birthday cards and announced they would be delayed. Although the shop didn’t mention any specific changes to Zoro’s status or his use of Haki, the timing is intriguing since it follows closely after the major reveal. This removal doesn’t necessarily mean that Zoro has never utilized Haki, but it certainly adds an element of excitement to the announcement.

Zoro’s Big Battles
The manga of One Piece is currently in its climactic phase, as the Straw Hat Pirates just barely escaped death at the hands of the Five Elders. Their next stop is the island called Elbaf, home to giants, where Zoro may find it challenging if he wishes to engage any giants in combat. His ambition to be the greatest swordsman on the Grand Line faces a significant hurdle since Dracule Mihawk currently holds that title. Given that Mihawk leads the Cross Guild alongside Crocodile and Buggy, this upcoming encounter is likely to be one of the most significant in the series so far.
It’s worth noting that Zoro won’t only appear in the anime and manga versions of One Piece. In fact, Mackenyu is set to reprise his role as Zoro in Netflix’s second season of One Piece, hinting that he is gearing up for more sword-fighting action. Although we may not get to see the second season this year, the return of live-action One Piece on Netflix promises a significant streaming event.
