First Big Game Release in March Confirmed for Steam Deck

Even though some past March game launches have been postponed, this month promises a host of fresh, exhilarating gaming experiences. For devotees of the beloved cooperative title “It Takes Two,” March 6th will introduce another captivating co-op adventure from Hazelight Studios. “Split Fiction” retains the engaging two-player dynamic that won gamers over with “It Takes Two,” but adds a fresh, genre-blending twist. Excitingly, Hazelight Studios has confirmed that their latest offering will be fully compatible with Steam Deck and native to the platform on its release day, providing players more freedom to enjoy the new adventure on the go.

As a gamer excitedly counting down the days, I can’t wait for “Split Fiction” to drop on March 6th! It’ll be available across various platforms like Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam or EA app. Recently, Hazelight clarified that you won’t need the EA app, so if you’re a Steam loyalist, you can download and play it directly from there.

In the same update, they also confirmed that “It Takes Two” will be Steam Verified, ensuring a smooth gaming experience on your PC. This is fantastic news for those of us who prefer to stick with Steam for our co-op adventures. The cherry on top? “Split Fiction” will support cross-platform play!

Previously, Hazelight Studios announced that the game Split Fiction will come with a Friend’s Pass system, much like the one provided for It Takes Two. With this feature, individuals who have purchased the new cooperative game can invite friends to join in the fun, regardless of whether or not their friend owns a copy of Split Fiction. Remarkably, they don’t even need to play on the same platform. For instance, Steam Deck owners can extend an invitation to friends playing on any platform to embark on the shared split-screen journey. To use this feature, players just need an EA account, but there is no requirement for the EA app.
