Justin Timberlake is cutting the tour—the world tour—short.
In simple terms, “Justin Timberlake, known for his hit ‘SexyBack’, unexpectedly cancelled the last show of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Columbus, Ohio, as he became unwell only a few hours before the performance.
He expressed his sadness in an Instagram post on February 27th, stating, ‘I’m devastated because I must cancel tonight’s performance. During soundcheck, I was fighting off the flu, but unfortunately, it has overcome me now.’
The 44-year-old went on to express his regret for the last-minute change of plans.
As much as it pains me to let you down, I want you to understand that the effort put in by my team was immense in order to bring this show to life. Rest assured, you’ll receive a refund for your tickets. Know that I hold each and every one of you in high regard.
In the morning, Justin’s wife Jessica Biel, who has two sons Silas (9) and Phineas (4) with him, paid an emotional homage as they concluded their tour together, celebrating their 12 years of marriage.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but exclaim that there seems to be no limit to what this man can achieve. Witnessing him, listening to him, and sharing this tour journey with him has been nothing short of extraordinary. Tonight is our final show, so let’s pour every ounce of energy into it! Subsequently, he admitted guilt for a non-criminal traffic offense related to impaired driving and agreed to pay a fine along with completing community service, as reported by NBC News.
During a press conference in September, he admitted, “I usually strive for excellence in all I do, but this instance fell far short.” Reflecting on the situation, he acknowledged, “I had the chance to make a better choice, but I now understand where I went wrong.
