Sony has unveiled its plan for expanding its brand and penetrating the Chinese market: by aiding local developers to achieve success globally.
And now it’s applying the same tactics to another country, as part of its India Hero Project.
Today, it was revealed that two fresh indie games are being developed by local Indian teams for the PlayStation 5 – these titles are known as Bloody Boots and Lokko.
According to Hector R. Fernandez from Sony Interactive Entertainment, as stated on the PS Blog, our aim at Sony is to encourage innovation and creativity in game development worldwide. Our objective is not just to assist these developers in realizing their distinctive ideas but also to help them reach a global market through PlayStation.

So, what of the games, then?
Bloody Boots is a third-person action-adventure game created by the team Weloadin. It’s located in Crank Town, an energetic yet dystopian amusement center that thrives on technological advancements in bio-tech, often referred to as junk-punk innovations.
The summary goes on: “Embark on the journey of a runaway teenager caught in the chaotic anarchy of Crank Town. In this battlefield filled with merciless mutants, mechanized supervillains, and brutal leaders, strive to secure your escape!
Unfortunately, there’s no footage of Bloody Boots just yet.
Nevertheless, Appy Monkeys are working on a game called Lokko, and there’s a trailer showcasing its gameplay. It resembles the level-building style of Super Mario Maker, offering cross-compatibility between PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
As a gamer, join me in taking down Goobol Corporation to bring back the world’s best pizza! Show off your gaming skills by beating other players’ high scores, let your imagination run wild, and harness the power of DualSense on all three platforms. Create levels to share with others, compete against their creations, and become the one who makes the most entertaining, original, and creative content. The fun never ends and the possibilities are endless!
We’re really looking forward to witnessing more developments from the India Hero Project, as both games show great promise.
