According to Velan Studios’ recent announcement, “Midnight Murder Club” is slated for release on both PS5 and PC platforms as an Early Access title starting March 13th. Game director Eric Feurstein shared insights about the PS5 version’s launch on the PlayStation Blog, mentioning the addition of a new game mode.
In a fresh take on gaming, we’ve combined Free for All, Thief in the Night, Team Deathmatch, and Headhunters into a brand new mode called Wildcards. This mode is all about shaking up the usual rules of the game for added excitement. In Wildcards, players can select cards that introduce various twists to the gameplay. These cards might give every player super speed or cause player deaths to result in explosive fire.
The “Midnight Murder Club” is also coming out with a version called the “Guest Invitation,” enabling friends of players who already possess the game to participate without needing an additional purchase. For every person purchasing “Midnight Murder Club,” five “Guest Invitations” are provided, which can be shared with acquaintances. The “Guest Invitation Edition” includes all existing game modes and has no time constraints.
The “Midnight Murder Club” is a thrilling six-player game that takes place in a dark, ominous mansion. Since light sources are scarce, players must rely on creative methods to locate their opponents, such as observing the glimmers of their weapons when fired. Interestingly, even the flashlights players carry can betray their own positions.
The unveiling of “Midnight Murder Club” for the PS5 was first revealed as far back as December 2024. As development progresses, the studio is open to player feedback to improve the game.
In the announcement, Feurstein stated that since you’re part of the Midnight Murder Club, your thoughts on where the club should head are valuable. We’re committed to growing this game along with the community during Early Access. We seek your opinions and suggestions, as they will play a crucial role in deciding our future plans (which we plan to reveal before the launch!).
