Developers Saber Interactive and publishers Focus Entertainment have shared details about the upcoming update (version 7.0) for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The updates include some exciting new features, but they may not satisfy those eagerly waiting for more content. Moreover, they hinted at the arrival of the much-anticipated Horde mode, though they did not specify a release date yet.
In a recent blog post from IGN, we’ve caught a sneak peek into the upcoming changes, expected to roll out on the PS5 around March’s latter half. The main features seem to include a fresh weapon (initially for PvE use), a new cooperative mission, and the tantalizing PvE Prestige Rank.
In Space Marine 2, players can achieve a PvE Prestige Rank at level 25 with a specific class. This rank enables them to purchase a Prestige Level, which grants access to a unique Prestige Perk. As one advances toward these honors, caution and focus are essential: “Select the perks thoughtfully as you won’t be allowed to alter your chosen Prestige Perks until after unlocking all four Prestige Levels.” Additional details can be found below.
- One Chapter Pack
- One Champion Pack
- Private PvP lobbies
- A new weapon (only in PvE for now)
- New Operation
- Weapon perks rebalance
- Class weapon loadouts rework
- PvE Prestige Rank
Regarding Horde mode updates, we don’t have much new info yet, but we know you’re excited to learn more. Rest assured, it’s high on our list of priorities and will differ significantly from the Horde Mode in Space Marine 1. There are some exciting surprises coming that we can’t wait for you to discover. As soon as we have something really intriguing to share about it, we’ll definitely do so! In the meantime, hang tight.
