For about two weeks now, Avowed has been in the grasp of avid RPG fans, allowing them ample opportunity to uncover all the possible endings that the Living Lands encompass – even the exceptionally harsh final chapter, which is one of the scarcest in the game.
This article contains story spoilers for Avowed’s ending(s).
In the game Avowed by Obsidian Entertainment, there’s an abundance of options for the character known as the Envoy, with choice and consequence taking center stage. However, due to this emphasis, most players won’t experience all possible outcomes in a single playthrough, and it turns out that one ending – Tyranny – has been less observed than any other. To unlock this ending and its associated achievement, which only 0.2% of Steam users have managed, you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and get involved in some challenging situations.
Extremely filthy – to such an extent that your travel companions will grow to detest your character by the end of their expedition through the Living Lands. The path you choose leads you to ally with the ruthless Steel Garrote faction and their cruel leader, Inquisitor Lödwyn. However, it’s not just a matter of siding with them; you must make every decision that favors the Steel Garrote meticulously until the end, which your party members will disapprove of. This journey is filled with death, devastation, and no room for mercy.
To seize control of Tyranny and tread a ruthless path, it’s necessary to eliminate Ygwulf within Paradis instead of sparing him, ignite Fior with the Steel Garrote, enable Kostya to ravage Solace Keep, and ultimately slay Sapadal in the Garden – a day filled with heinous deeds. This is the sole path endorsed by the Steel Garrote that will result in Inquisitor Lödwyn granting your Envoy knighthood rather than execution, but it comes at the cost of losing almost everyone else.
