It is important to note that these sites are predesignated, meaning you cannot simply construct a camp in any location. The suitable spots will be indicated on your map and detailed by the Support Team once identified.

How to set up a Pop-up Camp using a Camping Kit in Monster Hunter Wilds
To establish a Pop-up Campsite with your Camping Equipment, position yourself close to the swarm of Quatreflies (yellow butterflies) indicating the campsite. Push L1/LB to display the Inventory Menu. Navigate left or right through the Inventory using Square/X and Circle/B until you choose the Camping Kit. Release L1/LB, then press Square/X to employ the Camping Kit. Select “Set Up Camp” and confirm by choosing “Yes”. Your Pop-up Campsite will be swiftly assembled right before your eyes.
If you find that the Camping Kit is not visible in the Item Bar, it might be because, much like my first-time Pop-up Camp setup blunder, you may have inadvertently stowed it away using the Item Pouch. To remedy this, navigate to the Items & Equipment tab within the menu, select ‘Check Pouches’, then proceed to the Item Pouch. Click on the Camping Kit and press X/A to bring it back to the Item Bar. Ensure that the pouch icon next to the Camping Kit symbol appears white instead of red for visibility.
How to set up a Pop-up Camp using the Support Team in Monster Hunter Wilds
As a gamer, I’d say: “Approach the friendly Pop-up Camp Meowster at any Base Camp. Tell him, ‘I fancy constructing a Pop-up Camp.’ Then, navigate to ‘Manage Pop-up Camps,’ and pick the region where you desire your camp to be erected. A list of potential Pop-up Camp spots in that area will appear. Select the one that suits you best, confirm ‘Set Up Camp,’ and answer affirmatively when asked. The camp won’t materialize before your eyes, but ‘Camp set’ will magically appear next to the chosen location on the list in the third column.
