ITV has revealed when the second series of Jeopardy!, the revamped quiz show hosted by Stephen Fry, will make its comeback.
After a triumphant inaugural season in 2024, the network ordered 25 additional one-hour episodes. The fresh season is scheduled to premiere starting from Monday, 17th March, airing on both ITV1 and ITVX.
In the upcoming season, Fry will once again test competitors’ general knowledge by posing questions as their answers.
Fry said of the show’s return: “Thrilled to be back at the Jeopardy! lectern for another series.
Beyond just being fun to watch, it’s truly delightful to observe participants from different parts of the nation showcasing a wealth of diverse knowledge and sharp intellect.
He added: “I’m grateful to ITV and our viewers. I hope that the second season attracts even more devoted fans and discovers more extraordinary competitors.
The announcement that Jeopardy! is coming back on air is being celebrated by ITV, who are basking in the popularity of their afternoon game shows such as The Chase, Tipping Point, Lingo, and Deal or No Deal.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that a fresh, exciting addition is joining our television schedule. It’s called “Time is Money,” and the talented Sara Davies will be at the helm. Can’t wait to see what this new format has in store!
In this upcoming series, participants begin with their winnings at stake, competing against time to safeguard them. For each incorrect answer, they forfeit a portion of their initial winnings, and the last survivor who has successfully preserved some amount will be the ultimate winner.
Currently, there are whispers that Fry will participate in the forthcoming celebrity version of The Traitors, a show that should be recorded and broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this year.
