This week, “Split Fiction” by Hazelight Studios will be released, and with a budget almost double that of “It Takes Two,” it’s one of the major titles of this year. The system requirements for PC have also increased (you can find them here), but you can preload it ahead of time before its release.
The developer has shared when the cooperative adventure game will be released worldwide. It becomes available at 8 AM Pacific Time or 11 AM Eastern Time on March 6th. In places such as Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Tokyo, and Sydney, this corresponds to March 7th.
Split Fiction can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game centers around Mio and Zoe, two ambitious authors who step into a simulated world. Through a series of events, they find themselves compelled to collaborate if they hope to make their escape. They will traverse realms reflecting their preferred writing styles – science fiction for Mio and fantasy for Zoe. Additionally, there are optional Side Stories that take unforeseen turns.
The filmmaker Josef Fares reveals that the story in Split Fiction will run for approximately 12 to 14 hours, with additional content pushing this even further. If you’re planning on playing together online, a single copy is all you need – a Friend’s Pass enables another player to join for free. For more information, check out the details provided here.
