Vanderpump Rules Star Unmasked as Bat on The Masked Singer!

One Vanderpump Rules alum’s stint on The Masked Singer was not “Good as Gold.”

In the March 5 episode of the Fox reality competition series, “Sabrina Carpenter’s catchy ‘Espresso’ was the downfall for Bat during the “Voices of Olympus: Unmasking of the Gods” night.

However, before singing the Grammy-winning pop song, the enigmatic celebrity intrigued both the judges and audience by dropping subtle clues about who they really are.

She stated in her video, “I’m more like a bat because I’m nocturnal and have a bit of an edgy side.” She further explained, “Like bats, I’ve been unfairly stereotyped as one of the most misunderstood beings. I’ve always been depicted as a bloodsucker or a traitor. But let me tell you, that’s far from the truth about me.

Bat went on, “True friends understand that beneath this exterior, I’m really a kind-hearted soul. Unfortunately, I’ve been hanging out with some crazy folks for far too long, and everything I say gets misconstrued. I’m simply enjoying life to the fullest and living it up, which is why I’m embracing Dionysus, the party god, as a symbol that it’s okay to let loose sometimes.

Following her act, the renowned artist disclosed some unexpected links she shares with judge Jenny McCarthy and host Nick Cannon.

It’s been quite some time since we last met, Jenny, I noted casually, and I couldn’t help but mention, You as well, Nick. Interestingly enough, we shared a holiday this year.

Initially, Jenny swiftly identified Larsa Pippen, a star from Real Housewives of Miami, as her guess among the judges. Similarly, Ken Jeong opted for Lisa Rinna, a former cast member of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Meanwhile, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke continued their choices within reality TV by selecting Kristin Cavallari and Bethenny Frankel, both ex-Housewives respectively.

In fact, none of them managed to figure out that the previous character wearing the Bat mask was indeed Scheana Shay, a well-known reality TV personality from Vanderpump Rules.

The “Good as Gold” singer went on to explain her connection to her costume.

She remarked, “Bats are among the animals I adore most.” As a fun fact, her daughter is called Summer Moon since bats are active at night. Also, she bears a V as her initial, symbolizing ‘Vanderpump Rules’.

Regarding her daughter’s potential reaction to the unmasking, Scheana humorously commented, “I hope she’s not scared of bats anymore.

Scheana becomes the second cast member from VPR to appear on the show, following Tom Sandoval who was unveiled as Season 10’s contestant, known as The Diver, in 2023.
