The developer of Monster Hunter Wilds hints that there’s a hidden significance in the game’s emblem, inviting players to uncover its mystery on their own.
In spite of concerns over optimization problems that many players believe stem from a simple typo, the release of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has undeniably been a tremendous success.
Meanwhile, with the title being new, players have ample opportunities to immerse themselves right away, such as participating in the recently incorporated Time-Limited Event Quests.
Beyond its gameplay aspects, it seems there’s a secret message within this game that the game’s creator hopes attentive players can uncover.
Monster Hunter Wilds’ logo has a secret message related to the storyline
In a recent interview with Famitsu, Kaname Fujioka (art and executive director) disclosed that the game’s emblem harbors hidden secrets. Before the launch of Wilds, many enthusiasts had speculated about the six dragons shown in the logo, and now it seems their theories might hold some truth.
He mentioned that it seemed to be according to the developers’ intention, or alternatively, it could be considered as a sort of communication. Later on, he clarified his reasons for not including a number in the title.
We aim for players to experience each game individually, so we don’t assign numbers. Yet, from a creator’s perspective, we consider it as the sixth part of the series. That’s why we incorporate the ‘six dragons’ in our logo.
It turns out that Fujioka’s logo holds more than initially meets the eye – there’s a hidden story behind it. He suggests that players can discover this secret meaning as they play the game instead of revealing it directly.
