View Urgent ForecastAs soon as I dive into Chapter 4 and ascend to High Rank, the entire Wilds transforms into High Rank terrain. That means I’ll encounter tougher beasts and scarcer resources, which can be exciting. But, there’s a catch – once I reach High Rank, I can no longer gather Low Rank materials! This is quite a bummer for a collector like me.
Fortunately, it’s possible to momentarily switch certain areas back to their Low-Rank version. Let’s continue to find out the method together!
How To Get Low Rank Materials | Monster Hunter Wilds
In my gaming adventure with Monster Hunter World, once I’ve advanced to High Rank, the sole method I found for gathering Low Rank materials is by taking on optional quests. You can find these quests by chatting up Alma or checking the Quest Board and selecting “Post/Join Quests.” Happy hunting!
Then, go to the “Optional Quests” category.
To find the quest you’re looking for, ensure it’s set in the region or targets the monster you prefer, and it should be of Low Rank. You can identify a Low Rank quest by the blue star icon located at the top right corner of its preview. Quests with a level ranging from 1 to 3 are considered Low Rank, while those with an orange star and level 4 or above are High Rank.
After locating your preferred quest, feel free to click on “Accept and Embark” which will transport you to the initial stage of that particular region. Keep in mind though, that this low-ranked version is a transitory state and will cease to exist once you complete the mission.
Besides this method, unfortunately, there seems to be no long-term solution to revert the regions back to their Lower Rank state after beginning Chapter 4 and advancing to High Rank. It would be great if future updates included such a feature, but as of now, no official announcements have been made on the matter.
However, you might find it helpful to employ these Temporary Lower-Level Quest Options temporarily! Utilize them wisely so that you can still gather any necessary Low Rank resources even if you’ve surpassed the threshold for advancing to High Rank.
