Eurovision 2025 UK act confirmed as Remember Monday and single revealed

The tune titled “What The Heck Just Occurred?” has been released, and it tells the story of what happens after a great night out with pals. It brilliantly highlights the group’s humor, relatable experiences, and distinctive harmonies.

This upbeat tune was collaboratively written by Billen Ted, a duo consisting of Tom Hollings and Sam Brennan, Thomas Stengaard, and Julie “Kill J” Aagaard.

Upon learning about our Eurovision confirmation, Remember Monday expressed, “We’re totally blown away! It feels incredibly unreal; our friendship dates way back, and it never occurred to us that we’d be involved in something like this.

As children, when people asked us about our future aspirations, many of us would say ‘I want to become a pop star.’ So, it’s utterly amazing that we get to experience this dream as three close friends. We are going to be the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999, which feels incredibly prestigious and almost unbelievable.

This year’s Eurovision act search was spearheaded by David May, a prominent figure in the UK music industry (founder of FIFTEEN 04), who shared: “Over almost two decades, I’ve had the privilege to work in various aspects of the music industry. Occasionally, you encounter an artist on the brink of becoming something truly remarkable and awe-inspiring.

Remember Monday truly embodies the essence of talent, charm, dedication, and determination. Our role is to assist them in fully realizing their abilities, a responsibility I am excited to fulfill with honor.

This year’s Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place in Switzerland. They emerged victorious in May 2024, with non-binary artist Nemo winning the competition. Nemo performed their song, “The Code.

This year’s competition will be held in the city of Basel, the same country that hosted the inaugural event in Lugano.

2025 sees the beginning of our competition on May 13th and 15th with two semi-finals, culminating in the grand finale on May 17th (Saturday).

Who are Eurovison 2025 UK act Remember Monday?

The threesome, comprising Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hulland, and Charlotte Steele, have been close companions ever since their encounter at high school in 2013. They often take the stage to entertain live spectators.

Every participant showcases an outstanding resume in musical theater, with Holly having graced stages for Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, Charlotte shining in Mary Poppins, and Lauren contributing to Matilda and the national tour of SIX The Musical.

In 2023, the three of them officially joined the Remember Monday band as full-time members. However, prior to this, they had also been contestants on The Voice UK in 2019. During that competition, they were mentored by Jennifer Hudson and made it to the knockout rounds before being eliminated.

They boast an impressive TikTok fanbase of close to 525,000, and not too long ago, their debut single was aired on a prestigious national radio station, specifically during the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, which is helmed by Scott Mills.

Apart from their shows overseas, they’ve graced stages at various UK events such as Country to Country, The Long Road, and Buckle and Boots. To date, this threesome has issued two EPs and a total of twelve singles.

In the upcoming event, it will be Monday who follows in the footsteps of last year’s British representative, Olly Alexander, who sang Dizzy and ranked 18th in the finals, earning 46 points from the jury but no votes from the audience.
