2025 seems to be the anticipated year for PlayStation’s return to regular, single-player game releases, with “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach” being a key title in this lineup. However, the exact release date for this open-world game remains unclear. But it appears that we will discover more details about its launch soon.
According to well-known leaker billbil-kun, as mentioned in a recent report on Dealabs, it’s anticipated that pre-orders for the game “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach” may start this month. The leaker also suggests that aside from a Standard Edition priced at $69.99 (available both physically and digitally), there will be a Collector’s Edition available as well, retailing for $229.99. At this point, it’s only confirmed that the Collector’s Edition will be offered in North America and Europe; no information has been provided regarding other regions yet.
If pre-orders start this month, it’s likely that we’ll hear about the game’s release date as well. Director Hideo Kojima has hinted at a new trailer being released soon and a panel scheduled for SXSW 2025 on March 9, which might reveal the sequel’s specific release date. So keep an eye out for more news in the coming days.
