The action-packed zombie shooter game, Killing Floor 3, developed by Tripwire Interactive, has experienced a last-minute postponement. Originally scheduled to release at the end of this month, the team-based first-person shooter has been delayed. The developers attribute the delay primarily to the overwhelming feedback from their recent closed beta testing.
Through a tweeted update, Tripwire Interactive admitted they didn’t meet expectations with their closed beta, a fact that has drawn negative feedback from numerous gamers.
Following careful consideration of feedback from our recent closed beta test, we’ve come to understand that we may not have hit the target as intended. Our ambition isn’t just to advance the Killing Floor series with Killing Floor 3, but also to preserve the beloved core gameplay experience you’re accustomed to.
According to the studio’s announcement, they have decided to postpone the release of Killing Floor 3 due to support from their parent company, Embracer Group. The team aims to enhance various aspects such as user interface, lighting effects, game performance, weapon handling, and other features before launch. Post-launch improvements are also planned for a better player experience.
According to Tripwire, backed by Embracer Group, we’re collaborating on a schedule to tackle numerous issues players encountered during the beta, such as performance, stability, user interface/user experience, lighting, and weapon sensation. Although it’s premature to specify which adjustments will be made by launch, they assure us that an update enabling separate selection of perk class and character is scheduled for after the release.
As an eager enthusiast, I can’t wait to share a refined edition of Killing Floor 3 with you all! Rest assured, as soon as we have more exciting updates to unveil, you’ll be the first to hear about it. In the meantime, I appreciate your understanding and the incredible support you’ve shown us thus far. Your patience is greatly valued!
The specific date for its release towards the end of the year remains undetermined. Regardless, “Killing Floor 3” will eventually be accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers.
