Split Fiction Crosses 250,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

At its initial release, Hazelight Studios’ “Split Fiction” garnered a significant number of players, boasting over 197,000 simultaneous users on Steam. Now, it has exceeded that figure, currently recording a staggering 254,756 concurrent players on Steam as we speak, according to SteamDB.

Not only has Split Fiction surpassed the peak concurrent player count of its developer’s previous co-op hit, It Takes Two, but it also holds the second-highest number of players among Electronic Arts-published games on Steam. This is notable because it outranks titles such as EA Sports FC 25 and Battlefield 5, with Apex Legends being the only game ahead in terms of player count. Given that Apex Legends is free to play, Split Fiction’s performance is quite remarkable.

There’s no official word yet from Hazelight or EA on sales figures for the game, Split Fiction, but keep an eye out for updates soon. This title is also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, in addition to PC. The story spans around 12-14 hours, and if you own it, you can extend the fun by inviting a friend to join in at no extra cost with the Friend’s Pass feature.

Take a look at our assessment – we rated it as 7/10, appreciating its engaging gameplay and diverse elements, but pointed out areas for improvement in the narrative development, character depth, and dialogue quality.
