It’s uncertain when or even if we’ll get another season of Bluey, as its future seems unclear after Season 3 wrapped up. However, there’s a Bluey movie scheduled for release in 2027 and the initial batch of LEGO sets will arrive this summer. In the meantime, we have some good news: Ludo is putting out a new product that should keep Bluey fans entertained until more season details are revealed.
On Saturday, the official YouTube channel for the popular show “Bluey” shared a fresh, brief episode titled “Bonus Bit.” This one focuses on our cherished character, Bandit the Heeler dad, who is seen giving an archeology presentation at work. The video, similar in length to the Minisodes available on Disney+, lasts about a minute and can be viewed at the top of this page.
The most amusing moment in the “Archeology” short occurs towards the end, as the culmination of Bandit’s polished discourse about a bone from the “first dog to walk on hind legs.” However, instead of maintaining his composure, Bandit gives in to his instincts and takes a bite out of the bone.
Since the last batch of “Bluey Minisodes” on Disney+ at the end of last year, a new short titled “Archeology” has been released from the series “Bluey.” Whether this is the start of a series of releases or just a standalone event remains uncertain. It’s possible that multiple shorts have already been made and will be gradually shared to fill time until more regular episodes of “Bluey” are produced.
The popular Bluey TV show is taking a break for now, but it’s evident that some planning and work are being done behind the scenes for the series continuation. Following the announcement of the Bluey movie, its creator Joe Brumm shared his intention to focus solely on the film, implying that there is a team working on other aspects of the show while he works on the movie project.
As a die-hard cinephile, I’ve got to say that the fact that there’s no definitive news yet about the continuation of the Bluey series, despite the suspense being a bit maddening, gives me some optimism. This show has been a global sensation for a couple of years now, consistently ranking among the most-watched TV shows worldwide. So, with such popularity, it’s hard not to feel that a comeback is highly probable.
