God of War 20th Anniversary Panel Won’t Have Any Announcements

The 20th anniversary of the God of War series is approaching, and Gallery Nucleus is hosting an event to mark the occasion. They’ve just revealed a second panel and autograph session scheduled for March 22nd. However, there’s no need to anticipate any possible announcements at this time.

Sony Santa Monica announced that the panel would showcase a variety of actors from both Greek and Norse mythologies, looking back on the entire series. Yet, they emphasized that, despite the impressive lineup and high anticipation for the anniversary, there will be no new announcements during this event.

For some enthusiasts hoping for news about the rumored remaster of the God of War trilogy, there have been whispers. However, reports suggest that the next title will be set in Greece, featuring a younger Kratos as the main character. Although Sony may still hint at the remaster prior to the event, it seems extremely unlikely. Consequently, the speculation persists.

Looking on the positive side, it’s possible that a genuine PlayStation Showcase might take place this summer. Although God of War won’t be there, we might catch a glimpse of Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and Marvel’s Wolverine. As ever, keep an eye out for official updates and more information in the upcoming months.
