For March 2025, the LEGO selection is quite impressive, yet there was no standout, must-have set – until this announcement. The LEGO Group and Universal Products and Experiences are preparing to unveil Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex (T.rex) #76968. This upcoming set will be the most substantial in the Jurassic World series, boasting a whopping 3,145 pieces. Once assembled, it will create an intricate T. rex fossil skeleton that will extend over 3 feet long when finished. All the essential details about incorporating this amazing piece into your collection can be found below.
This T-rex model collection boasts a movable head, an opening jaw, and adjustable arms and tail for various poses. It comes with a stand for display and a factual plaque. There might be hidden surprises such as a piece of amber here and there. As for the Easter eggs related to the movies, LEGO has creatively incorporated Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant minifigures into this set, mirroring their appearances in the 1993 Jurassic Park film.
It seems we’ve been anticipating this move from LEGO since they launched the Dinosaur Fossils: T.rex skull and Triceratops skull sets. If you’d like to secure this item, I recommend creating a LEGO Insiders account (it’s complimentary). Keep a lookout on March 11th or 12th at 9pm PT / 12am ET here at the LEGO Shop. That’s when it becomes available for early access purchase at $249.99. For those who don’t have an account, they can buy it starting from March 15th, also at the same location on the LEGO Shop.
On the LEGO website, you’ll discover many of the forthcoming LEGO launches in the “Coming Soon” section. Once they’re released, you’ll find them moved to the “Available Now” section. Some of these new releases will also be accessible on Amazon, but it’s often beneficial to purchase from LEGO to enjoy their exclusive deals. You can even preview upcoming LEGO sets based on Jurassic World Rebirth right here. For a sneak peek at the movie plot, scroll down below.
Five years following Jurassic World Dominion’s events, Earth’s environment has generally become unsuitable for dinosaurs. The ones surviving reside in secluded equatorial regions that mimic their original habitats. In this tropical ecosystem, the three largest creatures harbor a substance that could offer extraordinary medical advantages to humans. Academy Award-nominated actress Scarlett Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, an experienced operative hired to direct a team on a classified assignment to obtain genetic samples from the world’s three most gigantic dinosaurs.
When Zora’s surgery coincides with a civilian family whose boat trip is overturned by prehistoric marine creatures, they all unexpectedly end up on an island. There, they uncover a chilling secret that has remained concealed from society for many years.
Jurassic World Rebirth will hit theaters on July 2nd.
