This new region offers players plenty more to discover and uncover. In this guide, we will walk you through how to acquire the new Black Anvil weapons in the game.
How to Get Black Anvil Weapons | Black Anvil Vendor Location in Map
To fully utilize the latest Black Anvil weapons introduced with the Wilds of Talandre update, it’s essential to gather the required materials for their creation. However, before you can start crafting, you must locate the necessary Non-Player Character (NPC) for this task.
As a gamer, here’s how I might put it: “To reach this stage, you’ve got to journey through the game’s tale, pushing forward until you hit around chapter 12. This path eventually takes you to a place called the Black Anvil Forge – a sizable zone that includes at least one teleportation stone and a bunch of grumpy dwarves who will come in handy later on.”
At this stage, your task involves locating an NPC known as Crandace, identified by her title “Obsidian Weapon Crafter.” Unfortunately, we can’t give you a precise location because she’s a mobile NPC, wandering within or near Black Anvil Forge. She’ll keep moving unless someone engages her in conversation, at which point she’ll temporarily pause.
As a gamer, I’d recommend checking out the image below to get a sense of who we’re looking for. Roam around the Black Anvil Forge until you stumble upon him. He’s pretty hard to miss since he’ll have a distinctive purple icon floating above his head. This should make tracking him down a breeze!
Unfortunately, locating him was just the beginning. After our conversation, I’m now tasked with deciding on the type of weapon I’d like to build. However, this crafting process isn’t going to be a walk in the park. I’ll need a substantial amount of Abyssal Aggregate and a staggering number of Obsidian Pieces to get it done.
For those new to the game, “Obsidian Pieces” are scarce items dropped by various enemies scattered throughout the “Black Anvil Forge” zone. You’ll need approximately one hundred of these pieces for each weapon, and due to their low drop rate, experienced players claim that only automated bot accounts (botters) go after them, even in the Korean servers.
Currently, there’s no indication that they plan to fix this problem with any updates, given that it’s been part of the game since its initial release. Obtaining one of these weapons requires an extraordinary amount of luck and a considerable investment of time.
Regardless of their type, all Black Anvil weapons share identical benefits. Essentially, they boost your Sollant by 50% and grant a substantial 50% increase in weapon mastery EXP. While their individual stats may not be exceptional, these weapons are specifically crafted for intense PVE grinding in hardcore gameplay.
To obtain one of these, you’ll have to explore Black Anvil Forge and defeat any Dwarf enemies (either Brawlers, Snipers, Wizards, or Commanders) that you encounter. Continue this process until you accumulate a total of 100 Obsidian Pieces.
Besides regular methods, you might find Obsidian Pieces in Solo Dungeons as well. Note that the drop rate is quite low, but several players have reported successful drops, offering a change from the usual dwarf-slaying routine if you’re seeking variety.
It’s strongly advised to complete this task with a full team if possible, as it allows you to explore a larger region and swiftly eliminate groups of dwarves. Although the drop rate remains extremely low, this setup should slightly boost your odds.
Simply locate an open area and begin to chip away until you gather enough Obsidian Shards for your single weapon. Unfortunately, there’s no way around this process since the resources aren’t exchangeable. However, the weapons can be traded once you have them.
On that point, you might as well consider purchasing crafted “Black Anvil” weapons from other players if you have the funds for it. These items are likely pricey, but they’ll spare you from spending upwards of a month or more on repetitive dwarf killing and solo dungeon adventures.
There’s word that some players have acquired weapons known as Black Anvils in various global servers, suggesting it might be attainable through certain channels. However, whether these weapons were legally produced, or even truly exist, remains a different question altogether.
