On Netflix’s Monday Night Raw, WWE’s main event featured a fierce rivalry between Seth Rollins and CM Punk. However, as the night wore on, it became clear that their confrontation wasn’t the only heated conflict unfolding. Rollins and Punk clashed with full force, using all their moves including each other’s signature techniques, but neither chose to secure victory in the match. This was because Roman Reigns intervened, unexpectedly reappearing in WWE and taking revenge on Rollins for his actions at the Royal Rumble.
But Reigns didn’t stop there. Upon seeing Paul Heyman and Punk in the ring, he administered another brutal attack on Punk as an added insult.
In the heat of the match, before the cage door had fully shut, Punk immediately attacked Rollins, and their animosity was clear throughout the encounter. It started off as a brutal fight, with both combatants exchanging powerful blows and fierce chops in the heart of the enclosure. At one point, Punk attempted the GTS, but Rollins swiftly responded and then, not long after, hurled Punk into the side of the cage.

Initially, Punk taunted Rollins with the door wide open, and Rollins retaliated with a swift move, symbolically referred to as a ‘bird’. This led Punk to execute a couple of elbow drops. However, despite delivering two massive ones from the top rope, Punk failed to keep Rollins pinned down. Later, instead of attempting an exit via the cage’s top, Punk spun around, only to be caught by Rollins in a risky position atop the cage. Both wrestlers were now engaged in a fierce battle high above the ring.
In the course of their fierce battle, Rollins managed to perform a Superplex on Punk and attempted a follow-up pin, but remarkably, Punk managed to escape the hold. Not long after, Punk executed the second GTS of the match, only for Rollins to defy expectations and kick out once more. As the match progressed, Punk aimed for a third GTS, but Rollins responded with a counterattack, transitioning into an STF. It seemed as though Rollins had successfully locked in the submission move.
Initially, Punk succeeded in breaking free and retaliated with the Anaconda Vice, but Rollins followed up with a stomp and attempted a pin, yet Punk miraculously survived another near fall. In response, Punk executed his third GTS of the match, but Rollins astonishingly resisted again by kicking out. Subsequently, Punk unleashed a stomp on Rollins, but the latter refused to succumb and remained conscious.
With the door of the cage ajar and Punk just steps away, Rollins bellowed at him, challenging him to claim the house if he desired it while hurling insults. In response, Rollins countered an attack from Punk, executing a GTS followed by a powerful stomp. However, Punk miraculously managed to kick out before the referee’s count of three. Instead of exiting the cage, Rollins spun around, glaring at Punk once more.
As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, let me share my take on the thrilling sequence of events: I scaled up to the second rope and delivered a bone-crushing super stomp onto Punk’s skull. With a burst of anger, I branded him with an unprintable epithet as the crowd erupted in a frenzy. Just when things seemed to settle down, Roman Reigns burst into the scene, yanking me out of the cage door – securing his victory in the process. He then hurled me to the ground, and in retaliation for my actions at Royal Rumble, he unleashed a powerful Superman Punch upon me. Needless to say, I was furious!
Later, Reigns retaliated against Rollins again, giving him a stomp onto the hard floor. Reigns glanced inside the cage, spotting Paul Heyman near Punk, tending to his friend. Enraged, Reigns charged into the cage, repeatedly slamming Punk against the metal walls and eventually spearing him, ending Raw with an exhilarating finish.
