Hailey Bieber experienced a terrifying incident in March 2022 while having breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber. She began experiencing symptoms similar to a stroke, such as facial drooping and difficulty speaking. Though these symptoms eventually subsided, she was rushed to the hospital for further examination.
The doctors discovered Hailey had suffered a small blood clot in her brain, which they classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Upon further investigation at the University of California, Los Angeles, they found that Hailey had a hole in her heart known as a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled through this hole into her heart, escaped, and caused the TIA.
Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and is now feeling well.
In the same year when Hailey had her health issue, Justin also encountered a similar predicament. Specifically, in 2022, the renowned “Baby” singer disclosed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition affecting facial nerves and leading to temporary paralysis of parts of his face. This condition compelled him to postpone the rest of his Justice World Tour.
Justin described his ordeal in an Instagram video, stating that the virus attacking the nerve in his ear and facial nerves resulted in full paralysis on one side of his face. He couldn’t blink one eye, smile, or move the nostril on that side. The condition made it progressively harder for him to eat, but thankfully, the paralysis subsided over time.
Hailey shared her optimism about Justin’s recovery during a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America, expressing relief as he was feeling much better after an undeniably terrifying and seemingly random incident. She emphasized that Justin would make a full recovery.

There they discovered that he had a brain hemorrhage leading to a stroke. After a 20-day stay in the hospital following surgery, Foxx woke up on May 4 in a wheelchair unable to walk. He subsequently traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
