On March 17th, the Kickstarter initiative for the role-playing game “Hopetown,” with a focus on psychogeography, will officially commence, as confirmed by its creator, Longdue. Additionally, they shared a preview trailer and fresh visuals.
Moreover, Longdue revealed that Disco Elysium’s narrator, Lenval Brown, is deeply involved in the project and will lend his voice to a significant character within the game, as hinted at in the preview.
Brown expressed his delight in returning and embarking on something fresh, as he stated in a press statement. “There’s nothing quite like breathing life into a world, crafting a tale that has been yearning to be told,” he added.
Martin Luiga, who was one of the original founders of the ZA/UM Cultural Association that created the game ‘Disco Elysium’, and who wrote the first short story within its universe as well as seven characters for the game itself, has also taken up employment at Longdue to contribute to their project ‘Hopetown’.
Martin expressed his excitement about contributing his experiences to Longdue, shaping the storyline and structures for ‘Hopetown’. He intends to build on the strengths of the narrative RPG genre while aiming to bring fresh innovations, creating a captivating tale that encompasses past, present, and future. Martin is certain that the team will produce an exceptional addition to the library of Western RPGs. He invites fans of RPGs and adventure games to support the Hopetown Kickstarter campaign to help bring this game to life.
Previously mentioned, Lenval and Martin welcome Piotr Sobolewski to their team. Notably, Piotr led a group of fifteen individuals responsible for creating the game titled “Disco Elysium“.
