At SXSW, the creator of Kojima Productions and video game industry titan Hideo Kojima unveiled a 10-minute trailer for “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach”. This sneak peek offered insights into the sequel’s characters, gameplay mechanics, and narrative. Crucially, the long-awaited release date for the sequel was finally disclosed, and it won’t be much longer; on June 26th, PS5 players will have the opportunity to pick up where Sam Porter left off in his story.
One fascinating aspect of the Death Stranding series is the exceptional cast Kojima assembles for his captivating science fiction narrative that focuses on reuniting a fragmented world. In the 2019 version, Norman Reedus (famous from The Walking Dead), Léa Seydoux (known for her role in Spectre), Mads Mikkelsen (renowned as Hannibal), Margaret Qualley (star of The Substance), and Troy Baker (acclaimed from The Last of Us) took on significant roles. Some of these actors will reprise their roles in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, but the upcoming sequel will also feature new characters portrayed by well-known actors.
