Ori Series Has Sold Over 15 Million Units

Over the past few years, the Ori series has been one of Xbox’s most successful ventures. Both games, “Ori and the Blind Forest” and “Ori and the Will of the Wisps,” have garnered widespread praise from critics. Sales figures for these games have also been impressive, with specific sales data being disclosed.

Thomas Mahler, director of hit Metroidvania games and co-founder/CEO of Moon Studios, marked the 10th anniversary of Ori and the Blind Forest on Twitter by sharing that the series has collectively sold more than 15 million units globally across all platforms. It’s important to note that these are sales figures, not the number of players, so the figure does not include those who started playing via Game Pass.

It’s worth noting that for the first time, the sales figures for the ‘Ori’ series have been disclosed publicly. Previously, it was known in 2020 that ‘Ori and the Will of the Wisps’ had surpassed 2.8 million players, but neither Microsoft nor Moon Studios had ever provided any specific numbers for ‘Blind Forest’.

The Ori series is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
