Alec Baldwin’s Kids Demand Higher Salaries for Their Reality Show!

Alec Baldwin’s children may run Kabletown some day.

30 Rock former cast member, who is married to Hilaria Baldwin and has eight children – Carmen (11), Rafael (9), Leonardo (8), Romeo (6), Ilaria (2), as well as twins Eduardo and Marilu (4) – recently disclosed that his kids have begun renegotiating their contract following the debut of their reality series, The Baldwins.

In a recent interview I had with People, published on March 12th, I shared that the group I’m part of is seeking more financial resources. We’re asking for quite a bit more, so we’ll just have to wait and see how things unfold.

Despite being playful about his children’s business acumen (Ireland, 29, being one of them, whom he shared with ex-wife Kim Basinger), he genuinely expresses their delight in the TLC show.

He went on to say, “The children are enjoying themselves, and they’re content. We’re not pretending or putting on a show. They have social engagements and outings, yet they prefer staying at home together.

He emphasized that they are more like a group or team, further explaining, “They are extremely close and they strongly desire to be together. This depiction accurately reflects the way we truly live.

Indeed, the actor known for “It’s Complicated” believes that the TV series, which started production a month before his July 2024 court trial over the unfortunate shooting death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, mirrors his family life remarkably well. (Notably, the involuntary manslaughter case was dropped mid-trial due to allegations that prosecutors withheld evidence by Baldwin’s legal team.)

Reflecting on the reality TV experience, I must admit that during filming, it felt quite unusual. However, upon reflection, I came to understand that those moments truly encapsulated our authentic selves.

Regarding the Oscar nominee’s feelings on managing seven kids causing a commotion, he and his wife find humor in it together.

Alec shared with People last month that he often teases Hilaria by saying, “Don’t you know where I should be right now? We should be on Geffen’s yacht, sipping cappuccinos, reading books, and dining with Spielberg or others.” In simpler terms, he frequently makes fun of her by suggesting they should be enjoying a luxurious yacht life together with famous personalities like Spielberg.

But on a serious note, he added, “This is my reality. I wouldn’t change anything.”

Delve into the heartwarming recount of Alec and Hilaria’s romantic journey, culminating in their role as parents to seven wonderful children.

In February 2011, Alec Baldwin shared his contact details with the woman who would later become his wife, Hilaria Thomas, when they first met at Pure Food and Wine in New York. They engaged in a series of calls before setting a date for their first dinner together.

That August they enjoyed their first US Open together, one of Alec’s favorite events.

In a glimpse of what was to come, Alec caught a vision of Hilaria attending the 10th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation’s “An Enduring Vision” event at Cipriani Wall Street in October 2011. The next month, they decided to share a home together.

In 2012, Hilaria joined Alec at the Cannes Film Festival. He reflected, “Since my divorce, I’ve been through many relationships and given a lot of thought about my desires and aspirations.” He admitted, “Perhaps I overthought things. I wasn’t quite prepared to take that risk and act until I encountered Hilaria.

In April 2012, Alec’s rep confirmed to TopMob News that he and Hilaria were engaged.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but notice the heartwarming banter between Hilaria and Ireland Baldwin on their shared social media platform. While Ireland playfully hinted at being the “flower girl” in their wedding, it turned out she was actually one of the bridesmaids – a delightful surprise that only adds to their beautiful friendship!

On the 30th of June, 2012, I exchanged vows with my beloved partner amidst the warmth of family and friends at the historic Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Manhattan. The bride adorned herself in an elegant Amsale silk gown featuring magnolia trumpets, while the groom chose a dapper tuxedo from Tom Ford for the occasion.

The couple has expanded their family to seven members, with the addition of Carmen Gabriela (born Aug. 23, 2013), Rafael Thomas (born June 17, 2015), Leonardo Ángel Charles (born Sept. 12, 2016), Romeo Alejandro David (born May 17, 2018), Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas (born Sept. 8, 2020), Maria Lucia Victoria (born Feb. 25, 2021, through a surrogate), and Ilaria Catalina Irena (born Sept. 22, 2022).

The whole family will be starring on TLC’s The Baldwins, premiering Feb. 23, 2025.
