I Would Never Choose a Man Over My Child!

Catelynn Lowell is pushing back on this narrative about her relationship with Tyler Baltierra

During the second season of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” the 33-year-old woman refuted rumors that she had given up her daughter Carly, born with Tyler in 2009, for adoption because of pressure from her current spouse.

In the March 12th episode of the “Cate & Ty: Break it Down” podcast, Catelynn expressed her surprise when people assume she would prioritize a man over her child. She also pointed out their misunderstanding that she lacks emotions, sadness, sorrow, or any desire for something more.

Tyler, who later became a father to daughters Nova (10 years old), Vaeda (5 years old), and Rya (3 years old) together with his spouse, responded in a similar manner, saying, “Or perhaps you think I would impose some ultimatum on you? That’s preposterous.

Catelynn concurred, saying, ‘That’s truly unfortunate.’ She went on to express her long-standing commitment, ‘Even after staying with you for so many years and having other women in my life. If anyone really believed me to be like that, it would be appalling because I instill the opposite values in my daughters, and they are fully aware of this.’

I’d emphatically state, “I could never remain in a partnership and allow my girls to believe that such a situation is typical or healthy.

Catelynn and Tyler chose to confirm that they no longer intend to battle the ongoing, unfavorable stories about themselves, particularly as they relate to their 15-year-old daughter, Carly.

She further stated, “Eventually, I can express the truth and you’re free to choose whether to accept it or not.” She continued, “I sleep soundly at night because I am confident in my principles and ethics, my feelings for those I cherish, and that is all that truly matters to me. I’ve had enough of discussing this matter repeatedly. This will be the last time I bring it up. I may appear strong, but let me make it clear, Tyler was just as eager for this child as I was.

In this instance, Catelynn will not discuss the reasons behind placing Carly for adoption again, but it’s not the first time they have opened up about their past situation. Earlier in the current season of Teen Mom, Tyler revealed that his strained relationship with his father, Butch Baltierra, played a role in their decision to give Carly to adoptive parents.

As a fervent admirer, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of responsibility when I found myself stepping into the role of a teen parent, Tyler admitted. It was this fear of making mistakes that seemed to ignite a spark in me and Cate, a desire to mend our own lives before we could welcome more children into ours.

As a dedicated follower, I’ve witnessed Catelynn Lowell and her partner Tyler Baltierra back in 2009, during the first season of “16 and Pregnant”, make an arduous decision to give their first-born daughter, Carly, up for adoption. Fast forward to 2015, after thirteen years together, this beloved duo tied the knot in August and have since expanded their family with three more daughters: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya.

Despite the lingering pain of Carly’s absence, who resides with her adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa Davis, the couple remains steadfast in their pursuit of a hopeful tomorrow.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2025, Catelynn expressed their bond “is whatever she desires”. She continued, “If she wishes to have a relationship with her biological siblings, or even us, that’s great. If not, we get it completely. Whatever form of connection she prefers, as long as it prioritizes her needs and comfort.

Approximately half a year into their relationship, viewers witnessed Maci Bookout dealing with an unreliable Ryan Edwards on the show 16 and Pregnant. Despite becoming engaged, this high school couple separated less than a year following the birth of their son Bentley in 2008.

2023 finds me engrossed in the journey of fostering a coparenting bond. As I shared with TopMob News last year, things are looking quite promising between us. In fact, Ryan’s presence has been more consistent lately, perhaps even more so than it ever was before.

In 2012, Maci came across her long-term teammate, Taylor McKinney from Texas. Together, they started shaping their group. Their family expanded with the arrival of daughter Jayde in May 2015 and son Maverick a year afterwards. They decided to get married in Florida in October that same year.

As a committed partner, co-parent, and business associate sharing life and our TTM Lifestyle brand, I expressed to TopMob News in 2023, “He’s simply my chosen one.” Despite challenging times we’ve faced together, at the heart of it all, I find myself still picking him. He remains someone I appreciate, and even when I feel like throwing a fist his way, I’d rather engage in an argument or endure a difficult phase with him than never experience such turbulence with anyone else.

As a committed parent to our precious child Ryder, my former co-star and I from MTV’s The Challenge have chosen to maintain a harmonious partnership, even as we each find new companionship in our lives.

From the very first day Cory stepped into Ryder’s world, my deepest concern – and maybe even obsession as a devoted fan mom – was ensuring he became an exceptional father. I wasn’t going to let him be one of those dads who only turned up at Disneyland or posed for Instagram moments. No, he had to be all in, 100% committed. Fortunately, from the get-go, I sensed his appreciation for my dedicated approach to parenting, which is why our co-parenting journey has been so harmonious.

Following the conclusion of their romance in 2018, they chose to rekindle their relationship. During her 28th birthday festivities, Cheyenne announced on Instagram that she was back with Zach. In May 2021, they became parents for the first time, welcoming their son, Ace, and tied the knot in September 2022.

In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Cheyenne shared, “Over the past two years, we’ve been checking items off our bucket list. Our dream was to have a baby and we welcomed Ace into our family. We longed for marriage and held our wedding ceremony. Our goal was to buy a house, and we finally purchased our dream home.

She went on to say, “I have no desire for action right now. No ambition for a goal. What I yearn for is tranquility, to simply sit and be still. My aim is to find contentment where we are, to appreciate each other more deeply. That’s all I seek.

Establishing a bond during the filming of ‘Ex on the Beach’ may not initially appear to be the foundation for a love story, however, after several years and the arrival of two children – daughters Mila and Maya – Cory and former ‘Are You the One?’ participant Taylor Selfridge continue to create ripples.

2023 saw him disclose to TopMob News that he had recently purchased a new home. He also acknowledged the curiosity surrounding his upcoming wedding, saying, “There are indeed discussions about it. All that remains is for me to choose the ring and inform Taylor. She deserves this moment, and it’s something we both aspire to. For now, we’re moving step by step towards that milestone.

In the spirit of pushing my own boundaries, I found myself checking into rehab not too long after tying the knot with Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017. During this time, Mackenzie welcomed our first child, Jagger, into the world in 2018, a beautiful moment that I was still navigating my recovery to be a part of.

Initially, the couple brought Stella into their family in January 2020, but Mackenzie filed for divorce three years down the line. As of now, Ryan is betrothed to Amanda Conner, who’s pregnant with their first child.

Despite their highly controversial relationship concluding permanently in 2013, the ex-partners have found a way to jointly raise their now-adolescent daughter Leah.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2022, Amber shared that although they enjoy each other’s company from afar, their bond is strong and resembles a family more than any other relationship.

Following multiple years as a couple, an offer of marriage and a brief attempt on the reality show “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber and Matt Baier, who hails from Boston, ended their engagement in the year 2017.

Amber admitted on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast towards the end of the year, “Eventually, there comes a time when one stops listening and begins to feel indifferent in a relationship. I believe this is what transpired between me and him.” She continued, “I grew numb to the relationship, no longer caring as much as I should have. In essence, I built a wall around myself to shield myself from potential pain.

During her time filming “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber actually discovered love. She formed a connection with crew member Andrew Glennon on set. They first appeared as a couple at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, and in May 2018, they welcomed their first child, James, into their family.

However, they parted ways shortly following Amber’s arrest for domestic battery in July 2019. After a challenging court process, it was decided in 2022 that California-born Andrew would be granted sole legal and primary physical custody of their child.

The “Teen Mom” celebrity shared with TopMob News that she has devoted considerable effort towards personal growth and strengthening her bonds with her kids. She emphasized that while she has been open about her history of substance abuse and mental health challenges, everyone deserves a chance to make amends and move past their past issues rather than being defined by them.

With unyielding resolve, she stated, “Even if your path hasn’t always been smooth, but you’ve striven to grow into a stronger, more compassionate individual today, continue your journey just as I do. Rest assured, I will never cease my efforts for the children whom I cherish above all else.

Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia first appeared on ‘Teen Mom OG’ in April 2020. On the program, Amber disclosed that Dimitri is from Belgium and is ten years her senior, but she finds him very attractive. They had been communicating, and when they both expressed liking each other, they decided to meet in person.

In April 2021, Amber disclosed on the “Teen Mom OG” reunion special that she was still in a relationship with Dimitri. She clarified, “We’ve been acquainted for approximately 18 months, but I haven’t met him face-to-face for a year.” Although they didn’t make an official statement about breaking up, Amber later introduced her new boyfriend, Gary Wayt, on a June 2024 episode of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

After Amber linked up with Gary 2.0 through a dating app in autumn 2023, he appeared on the screen when she presented him to her fellow ‘Teen Mom’ friends during a virtual gathering.

Despite his proposal in May 2024, their engagement didn’t last long. In June of the same year, during her brother’s wedding in North Carolina, they had an argument that led Gary to leave suddenly. This caused Amber to file a missing person’s report.

And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.

As I shared on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’, I found myself grappling with the belief that my fiancé had passed away for about three to four days. It was a harrowing experience, one where I had to confront the pain of grieving and struggle to comprehend why someone would inflict such torment upon me. At this moment, I’m walking through a challenging time.

She went on to say, “This man shattered me. Before him, I had always been steady. For the first time in many years, I’m not feeling quite myself, as a man has placed a ring on my finger.

Several months passed following the arrival of their daughter Emilee in April 2015, and eventually, Gary and Kristina Anderson chose to formalize their union with a heartwarming beach wedding ceremony.

In his 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed, “Your soul is exceptionally radiant and beautiful among all I’ve encountered, and I can’t imagine how I’d manage without your presence.

In a tragic turn of events, Sophia’s father passed away due to an accident approximately two months before she was born in December 2008.

In her initial significant romance following the demise of her high school sweetheart, Farrah had an on-again, off-again relationship with Simon Saran, a real estate agent, that lasted more than two years.

Despite the bitter breakup they experienced in 2017, which was as unpleasant as cease-and-desist agreements can be, they attempted, albeit with some reservations, to maintain their friendship.

In a conversation with TopMob News, Simon made it clear that he bears no grudges against Farrah. He explained that they come from contrasting backgrounds – she prefers the glamorous lifestyle, while he seeks authenticity. Despite their differences, he expresses his hopes for her prosperity and success in all of her future ventures.

Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, parents of now-adolescent Jace, separated shortly after his birth in 2009, with Jenelle having minimal involvement in her son’s upbringing since then.

In that 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2, Jenelle mused over the fact that Jace’s father is Jace, but she has learned from past experiences about him. She doesn’t want him to let down her son by being inconsistent and disappearing again.

Having spent a year married to Courtland Rogers, and welcoming my second child, Kaiser, with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffin in 2014, I later tied the knot with David Eason on our North Carolina property in September 2017 – eight months after we became parents to our daughter Ensley.

Following a difficult period, David was accused and charged with a minor child abuse offense against Jace. Jenelle, comparing it to a malicious smear campaign, later disclosed that they had parted ways. She stated on social media, “I wanted to immediately file for divorce, but in North Carolina, you must be legally separated for a year first.” Additionally, she noted that one has to demonstrate having two distinct residences.

Remember the charmer who asked then-girlfriend Chelsea Houska when he could “sign the papers over for that mistake”?

Completely in the rearview.

In spite of the challenges, the former Teen Mom star-turned-HGTV personality maintains a relatively peaceful bond with her high school ex, Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s father. As she shared with Us Weekly, “There’s no negative energy and it’s just an open relationship.” She added, “We don’t have any lingering hostilities, and our interactions are always amicable.

Back in 2014, an unexpected encounter at a gas station marked the start of something beautiful between Chelsea and Cole DeBoer. They officially became each other’s forever when they tied the knot in October 2016. Their family expanded with the arrival of their son Watson in 2017, followed by daughters Layne in 2018 and Walker in 2021. Recently, this loving couple embarked on a new shared endeavor – their HGTV series Down Home Fab.

Speaking with TopMob News, Chelsea expressed her desire for their potential return to TV. She wanted it to be a fun, uplifting experience and an opportunity to genuinely show who they are. In her words, this seemed like a fantastic chance to do exactly that.

As a dedicated follower looking back, I recall that Leah Messer and Corey Simms, high school sweethearts, had aspirations of turning their friendship into an everlasting family. However, just six months following their October 2010 nuptials, the parents to now-teenage twins Aleeah and Aliannah decided to part ways by filing for divorce.

Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.

In 2012, Leah got married to Jeremy Calvert, and the following year, they had a baby girl named Adalynn.

Despite parting ways in 2015, they have strived diligently to share parental responsibilities for their daughter, with varying success. Leah expressed to TopMob News that she feels like a transformed individual and finds immense joy in witnessing her daughters’ passions. Being involved in their lives and nurturing them is magical, she said, adding “I adore being a mother, particularly a mom to girls.

By the year 2021, when Leah made their relationship Instagram official with Jaylan Mobley, this U.S. Army officer had already won over both Leah and her children with his charm.

The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.

Year after the breakup, the ‘Teen Mom’ celebrity openly admitted to TopMob News, “That breakup was necessary for me.” She added, “From that experience, I’ve gained valuable insights and I truly believe my life is just starting anew as I apply these lessons moving forward.

At the tender age of 17, Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera, in the year 2010.

Despite parting ways a year later, they’ve now established a harmonious co-parenting setup. Interestingly, Kailyn teamed up with Jo’s wife, Vee Torres, on her discontinued podcast titled “Baby Mamas No Drama“. Reflecting on their journey since being 18 years old, Kailyn expressed on X after attending Jo and Vee’s 2018 wedding, “I couldn’t have hoped for a better stepmother for Isaac.

In November 2013, Kailyn’s second child, Lincoln, became part of the team. This happened approximately a year after Kailyn, then prominent on Teen Mom 2, tied the knot with his father, Javi Marroquin.

Since parting ways in late 2016, Javi and his fiancée Lauren Comeau, who are parents to son Eli, revealed in December 2023 that they were going to have another child, this time a daughter.

Kailyn had babies named Lux and Creed together with Chris Lopez during their relationship that sometimes ended and began again. However, in the end, they decided to part ways permanently.

In an interview with TopMob News back in 2020, she shared that currently there is no communication between us at all. She expressed her hope that things will improve over time, but she doesn’t have any grand plans. She emphasized that she has nothing negative to say. All she wishes for our children is that whatever happens, the situation resolves itself in a way that works best for everyone involved.

With her current partner, Elijah Scott, Kailyn now feels she has a robust support system. As she explained to People, Elijah is unlike any of her previous partners or the fathers of her children. “He’s not just about hard labor at work, he’s also deeply family-oriented,” she said of Elijah, who is the father of her son Rio and twins Verse and Valley. “He’s very much connected with his own family and ours, making him a fantastic partner for me. I believe our partnership is a strong fit.

A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.

Kailyn made it clear to TopMob News in September 2024 that her neighbor-turned-partner had proposed marriage multiple times and she never rejected him. Instead, she said something along the lines of, ‘Yes, but not just yet.’

And while she admitted that the construction worker had indeed influenced her viewpoint on matrimony, Kailyn isn’t in a hurry to shop for a wedding gown right away. As she humorously put it, “The timeline for our marriage depends on the particular day you ask me about it.

Despite experiencing a rollercoaster of highs and lows since their daughter Kloie was born in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted at better times ahead to their followers in January 2022.

In a conversation with TopMob News, she shared that significant events unfolded in our lives, along with substantial advancements in Sean’s life and his future prospects. I am incredibly proud of him and where we find ourselves now. Eight months later, they publicly announced their engagement and tied the knot in October 2023.

In 2024, Jade admitted to TopMob News that her relationship isn’t flawless all the time. However, she emphasized that they share a deep love for one another and manage to keep things going despite its imperfections.

Ashley Jones, a native of California, and Bar Smith tied the knot in private ceremony back in 2021. This joyous event took place four years following the arrival of their precious daughter, Holly.

But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.

A while after the reality TV personality Briana DeJesus from “16 and Pregnant” and Devoin Austin II became parents to their daughter Nova in 2011, there were signs that they might rekindle their relationship.

Currently, Briana shared with TopMob News in 2024, “What I’m seeking now is a genuine adult male, not the young men I was accustomed to dating in the past.

Following my stint on the solitary season of Teen Mom 3, I found myself becoming a part of the Teen Mom 2 cast during its eighth run. In the summer of 2017, I welcomed my second little one, Stella, into the world with my former partner, Luis Miguel.

Since then, Luis has only occasionally been present and his commitment is questionable at most. In a Teen Mom 2 episode from December 2019, Briana shared with Dr. Drew her thoughts: “I think he desires a family with me,” she said, “but since I’m not providing that for him, he chooses to keep his distance entirely.
