For the first time ever, the host of “Love Island USA” disclosed that she chose to depart from the popular Bravo reality series following the climactic season 11 finale in 2024, long before it was public knowledge that the show would undergo a complete cast overhaul for season 12.

In a recent interview with People, published on March 13th, Madix expressed that she didn’t anticipate returning to Vanderpump Rules. This is the first time she’s made such a statement in public, but her feelings have always been this way.

The 39-year-old went on to say, “It simply didn’t sit well with me. I mean, not in an impolite or dismissive manner, not in a businesslike, ‘We don’t require this,’ and not in a haughty, ‘I’m above this.’ It just didn’t feel right.

Notably, following the shocking revelation that Tom Sandoval carried on a lengthy affair with their fellow cast member Raquel Leviss over several months, which significantly disrupted their lives.

Madix pointed out that if he had returned, he wouldn’t have been capable of producing a quality performance for the show. Since this scenario didn’t align with logic, the narrative simply didn’t add up.

It’s interesting to note that Madix always found it hard to fit in with Lisa Vanderpump’s ex-employees due to the turmoil that ensued after their departure.

She openly acknowledged that reality TV wasn’t her natural fit. She felt she might not have possessed the qualities typically associated with successful reality stars. Interestingly, it was perhaps these very differences that made her stand out as a reality star. However, she often found herself overthinking things.

Madix added, “I’ve discovered that perhaps the current environment isn’t ideal for me, as it doesn’t offer much room for self-expression. In such conditions, one can find oneself making statements or taking actions that aren’t truly aligned with their beliefs.

“I don’t,” she bluntly stated. “I hate that name too. That word has never come out of my mouth.”
