Fans of Death in Paradise will have to wait an additional week before they find out the show’s latest season ending, as the BBC has adjusted its schedule and moved the finale back slightly.
In the latest storyline, a fresh detective named Mervin Wilson, portrayed by Don Gilet, has been introduced on Saint Marie. This newcomer arrived with a puzzling case centered around his missing and supposedly deceased mother, Dorna, played by Judith Jacob.
Additionally, there’s continued speculation about Commissioner Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington), as he grapples with the possibility of being displaced by a newer coworker aiming to take his position.
To put it simply, the past couple of months have been filled with more excitement than usual on the beautiful island, but fans must wait a bit longer to see how things unfold because the final episode of Death in Paradise has been postponed by a week to accommodate Comic Relief.
That means the climactic episode is now expected to air on Friday 28th March 2025.
Looking forward to it, fans of the Para-verse are in for a treat during the charity fundraiser, as events will include an exciting collaboration between Beyond Paradise and Not Going Out!

In the final episode of Death in Paradise season 14, Mervin unexpectedly gets involved in a murder case. The discovery of a body within his shack leaves him right at the heart of the investigation, just moments before he was planning to depart.
In my opinion, as I sit here penning this review, I find myself just as puzzled as the film’s investigative team. The protagonist vehemently maintains his innocence, yet we grapple with the enigmatic circumstances surrounding the case – most notably, how the victim managed to enter a secure building without any trace of forced entry.
The woman’s true identity remained unknown, but it became clear when they learned she had been working with a local sea turtle protection organization. In the meantime, Selwyn shared some surprising information with Mervin, causing things to take an unexpected turn.
