Biggest Free Update

Fans of “Vampire Survivors” have been eagerly waiting for some good news, and it seems like they’re in for a treat! On the game’s official Steam page, Poncle Games shared tidbits about update 1.13. The developer mentioned that this upcoming update is scheduled for release in April, promising it to be their largest free update yet. Unfortunately, specific details about the update are scarce at the moment, but we do know one thing for sure – cross-saves, which players have been longing for, will finally be added.

With the release of update 1.13, cross-save functionality will be introduced across many (though not all) game variants, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Android, and iOS. Regrettably, Nintendo Switch users are currently excluded from this new feature due to a delay in the submission process. Poncle assures us that cross-saves for Nintendo Switch are still on the agenda, but they’re working to implement it via a future hotfix. Additionally, the team is exploring the possibility of enabling cross-saves between the Apple Arcade version and other platforms.

Regrettably, we haven’t received any additional clues about the upcoming changes for Vampire Survivors. As Poncle mentioned, the work on last year’s Ode to Castlevania DLC has postponed some of their content plans for this year. Considering their relatively small team and the extensive content in that DLC, it’s not too unexpected. However, the developer emphasizes that they aim to make the next update worth the extended wait, hoping that this will lead to exciting new features!

There’s a strong possibility that fresh content for “Vampire Survivors” will be unveiled during this year’s Triple-i Initiative event. Just recently, the official “Vampire Survivors” Twitter account announced this year’s showcase, which is a solid hint that we can expect some news about the game. It’s also noteworthy that last year’s Triple-i Initiative event had two major announcements for “Vampire Survivors”, including the launch of PlayStation versions and our first glimpse at the Contra collaboration. Given how impressive those reveals were, it’ll be tough to surpass them, but let’s hope Poncle will provide fans with a compelling reason to tune in.

Similar to Vampire Survivors’ update 1.13, we don’t have a specific date for the 2025 Triple-i Initiative reveal as of now. However, it’s likely that we’ll get an announcement in the coming weeks. Given that the new update is scheduled for next month, it’s reasonable to expect the showcase schedule won’t be too distant.
