Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3 is confirmed, but the developers aren’t done with part 2 yet

It’s been revealed unexpectedly that the work on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 is well underway.

As a die-hard Warhammer 40k fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over the recent release of Saber Interactive’s Space Marine 2. It’s barely been a year since its launch, yet it has already garnered acclaim from critics and fellow gamers alike for its exceptional gameplay and immersive universe!

However, Saber Interactive and their publisher, Focus Entertainment, have declared that they are now developing the sequel.

As a dedicated gamer, I can tell you that this game pledges to keep it real within the epic Warhammer 40,000 universe, delivering intense, merciless, and jaw-dropping gaming experiences.

According to John Bert, Deputy CEO of Focus Entertainment, gamers should be excited about experiencing an engaging storyline (immersive campaign), competing against others online (multiplayer mode), and groundbreaking features that will raise the bar for third-person action games.

Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber, acknowledged the massive achievement of Space Marine 2 in terms of the studio’s success, and discussed how such triumph would influence the creation of a potential third installment.

In his words, “Space Marine 2 has truly revolutionized our work at Saber. It represents the pinnacle of all the knowledge we’ve gained from our 25-year journey in game development.

In our next version, we’ll leverage everything we’ve learned so far and create an even larger and more awe-inspiring game for the third release.

Despite the fact that work has begun on a follow-up, Bert and Karch emphasized that it doesn’t signify the termination of support for Space Marine 2. Instead, they are continuing their efforts to ensure its maintenance.

Bert clarified that they plan on keeping the game fresh by providing engaging content and frequent updates for the upcoming years.

In the upcoming period, Space Marine 2 intends to keep a dynamic content strategy, which includes the imminent launch of the Horde mode.

Since the debut of the initial game in 2011, the Space Marine series and Warhammer 40,000 as a whole have garnered a devoted fanbase, which is clearly evident in the statement. (Alternatively, since 2011, the Space Marine series and Warhammer 40,000 have built up a dedicated following, as shown by the statement.)

Karch concluded by expressing that they saw this as a chance to craft a heartfelt tribute to the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

It appears that not much more information is available about the game, suggesting that it might have been in a very preliminary stage during its creation.

In other words, although there’s much anticipation surrounding the Space Marine series, it seems we might need to wait quite some time before receiving updates on its potential release.
