Deathbed

Before having surgery to eliminate several brain tumors, Teddi Mellencamp was deeply concerned about the potential outcome.

Actually, Tamra Judge, a close friend of former cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, shared a distressing message she got from Teddi Meadows last month. This was after Teddi was urgently taken to the hospital due to migraines, which were later discovered to be triggered by cancerous growths within her skull.

Tamra explained during the March 13 episode of their podcast “Two Ts in a Pod“, she wasn’t sure if it was just her or they were all part of the group text, but you told her, “You all thought I was crazy, but actually, I’m near death.” She recalled responding to your message by saying, “No, you’re not because, if you are, then I would be too, as I can’t imagine living without you.

The friends and associates found themselves deeply moved as they reminisced about Teddi’s health challenges. Teddi herself disclosed additional details about the time preceding her brain tumor detection, which the accountability coach labeled as “among the bleakest and most sorrowful days I’ve ever experienced.

At a horse show, I found myself in a state that reminded me of nothing so much as the worst migraine I had ever experienced in my life. This wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill headache; it was a crippling pain that made simple words slip away from me. My body began to tremble uncontrollably, and the world around me lost its familiarity. In a desperate attempt to reach out, I phoned my friend Nicole and managed to say, “I’m having the worst migraine of my life.” At 43 years old, those moments remain vivid in my memory.

Reflecting on a time that still feels so vivid, I recall the intensity of pain that left me struggling to move, let alone see clearly. The desire to engage in activities waned, and I found myself at a loss for direction as everything around me seemed disoriented and out of balance.

In essence, Teddi advises followers to pay heed to their bodies’ signals and promptly consult help when any issue arises.

In a post, the ex-Bravo star expressed, “If only at the instant I experienced those headaches, or when I no longer felt like my usual self, I had promptly visited a doctor for an examination.

In a March 6 Instagram post after surgery, Teddi shared that medical professionals found two extra tumors in her lungs, which were all offshoots of her melanoma.

Even though there’s been a disappointing development, Teddi expressed optimism, indicating that the doctors believe immunotherapy could successfully combat her tumors in the coming months.

She confidently stated, “I’m optimistic that I will triumph in this struggle. I prefer this wig because it suits my short hairstyle, though I wish it didn’t have any bald spots. And yes, I can recall all of Angelina Jolie’s children’s names.

In February 2025, the actress from Even Stevens disclosed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a clay pigeon shooting excursion to celebrate her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday.

In a recent unfortunate incident, I found myself in a situation where another party recklessly discharged their firearm inappropriately, striking me in the face. Instantly, @thebrendanrooney took charge, quickly assessed my condition, and swiftly transported me to the hospital. The bullet struck five areas on my body, with one impact point remarkably close to hitting me directly in my right eye. I owe my life to his quick thinking and immediate action.

The former star of “Kim Possible,” speaking further, stated, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck at the back of my eye, and it’s currently not safe for surgeons to remove it. However, doctors will keep watch on me, as I can see fine at present.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude for being alive, saying, “My affection for my daughters, husband, family, and friends runs incredibly deep.” She continued by describing a moment when she felt like she was reliving her entire life. This experience made her realize the importance of cherishing those close to us, advising everyone to seize every opportunity to embrace loved ones tightly. Life, she warned, can unexpectedly take a turn for the worse in the blink of an eye.

Despite the occasional harshness of the internet, Amy Schumer is grateful for its role in helping her uncover answers during a health mystery. In an episode of Call Her Daddy from January 2025, she humorously recalled the public’s reaction to her appearance, saying, “I was like, ‘Everybody, relax,’ but then doctors started chiming in with comments about my unusual appearance.”

These medical professionals suspected she had Cushing syndrome, attributing it to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. Realizing that she had been receiving steroid injections for her scars, Amy connected the dots and understood that these treatments might have caused her condition.

“I’ve had a breast reduction, a C-section, and other procedures, so I was getting these steroid injections,” she explained. “It turned out that this gave me Cushing syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t been so critical.”

Now, Amy is simply relieved to know she’s healthy. As she wrote in a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Finding out that my type of Cushing would resolve itself was the best news I could have hoped for.

Hailey Bieber experienced a terrifying ordeal when she suffered stroke-like symptoms during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber in March 2022. As she tried to respond, she couldn’t speak, and her face drooped on one side. Despite the symptoms ceasing, she was taken to the hospital for a checkup.

Scans revealed a small blood clot in Hailey’s brain, which was classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further examination at the University of California, Los Angeles, found that she had a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled into her heart through this hole and escaped to her brain, leading to the TIA.

Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and is now feeling well.

During the same year when Hailey went through her health crisis, Justin also faced one of his own. Specifically, in June 2022, Justin Bieber revealed that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that led to temporary paralysis in parts of his face. This unexpected illness forced him to halt the rest of his Justice World Tour.

In an Instagram video shared at the time, Justin explained the situation: “This virus attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves, causing paralysis on this side of my face.” As viewers could see, he couldn’t blink one eye, smile on that side of his face, or move the nostril on the affected side. Essentially, there was full paralysis on that side of his face.

He also shared that eating became increasingly difficult as a result of the paralysis. However, after some time, the symptoms subsided.

Hailey commented on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America, saying “He’s doing really well.” She added, “He’s feeling a lot better now. It was just a very scary and random situation to happen, but he’s going to be totally okay, and I’m just grateful that he’s fine.

Jamie Foxx initially chose to keep secret the details of his hospitalization in April 2023, but later shared his experience. In Atlanta, he recalled saying to a friend, “I need an aspirin,” but before he could get one, he fainted and lost consciousness for about 20 days.

Initially examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, Jamie’s sister, Deidra Dixon, later drove him to the hospital where they discovered he had suffered a brain bleed leading to a stroke. Following a surgery on the 20th day, Jamie woke up on May 4 in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then relocated to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

“All I can say is that I’m grateful for every prayer,” he expressed, “because I needed every one of them.

In 2019, Emilia Clarke, famously known for her role in Game of Thrones, penned an essay titled “A Battle for My Life” in The New Yorker. This was after filming intense battle scenes for the series. During a workout at the gym, she suffered a severe headache that led to vomiting profusely and worsening pain. She suspected her brain was injured.

Rushed to the hospital for a scan, she received the grim news of a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. Emilia had an aneurysm, an arterial rupture. The immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm was described as unbearably painful.

During recovery, she struggled with aphasia, which made her speak nonsensical words. However, a week later, the aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month.

In 2013, a follow-up brain scan revealed a growth had doubled in size, necessitating another surgery. Upon waking up from the procedure, she was in excruciating pain as it had failed. The doctors informed her that her chances of survival were slim if they didn’t operate again, and this time, they needed to access her brain through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and thriving.

In January 2024, Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus experienced a severe stroke and found comfort in the presence of her family. Upon learning about her health crisis, they immediately rushed to her aid. As she shared with TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024, she reached out via text and sent a picture. “Everyone came to my rescue,” Cori said gratefully.

Due to additional medical issues, her hospital stay extended beyond what she had anticipated. “I could have returned home following the stroke,” she continued, “but my lupus wasn’t in good shape at the time. My kidneys were failing, and there was a lot going on.”

Currently, Cori is recovering well. She expressed that while she needed to regain some motor skills, her overall health is improving. “I’m doing great,” she added. “There were just a few motor skills I had to work back on, but otherwise, I was fine.

During her late teens and early twenties, Shailene Woodley faced several health challenges. At one point, her hearing started to deteriorate, walking for even a short distance became impossible without needing long hours of rest, and everything she ate caused discomfort in her stomach. She was given various conflicting diagnoses by different doctors.

To find answers, Shailene, who has a background in holistic medicine and herbalism, sought help from both traditional medical professionals and independent healers. This quest for understanding lasted over ten years.

During this time, the discomfort she felt physically led to other issues such as fear of food, body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and feelings of insecurity within herself.

However, after addressing both her physical and mental health concerns, Shailene is now feeling much better and can proudly say that she is in good health.
