Next week, Santa Monica Studio plans to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their renowned series by introducing fresh classic skins, weapons, and items into God of War Ragnarok.
A complimentary update is coming for both PS5 and PS4, introducing the Dark Odyssey Collection which encompasses a skin patterned after one from God of War 2. This skin can be yours if you’ve conquered the game in God Mode difficulty.
Labeled as the “Dark Odyssey Collection,” inspired by the original game’s working title, this collection offers an exclusive set of equipment for Kratos, additional items for Atreus and Freya, as well as a variety of weapon enhancements, visual customizations, and shield designs. Beyond the God of War Ragnarok update, the game’s developers have disclosed broader strategies to honor the franchise’s 20-year milestone. Among these initiatives are a fan pack, a fresh PSN avatar debuting on March 20th, merchandise, artwork, and an adorable Jörmungandr plushie.
