How to fix ‘Nightflower Pollen not blooming during Full Moon’ in MH Wilds

When Monster Hunter Wilds was released, players found a technique for farming Nightflower Pollen through various quests. Now, due to a recent update, this method has been adjusted (or “nerfed”). So, the traditional approach will be necessary again. Unfortunately, the straightforward strategy of waiting until nighttime doesn’t work here. Instead, you must wait for the Full Moon to appear and then collect the Nightflower Pollen at that time.

  1. Rest until the Evening and set the Environment to ‘Plenty’
  2. Go to a known Nightflower Pollen location (more on this later)
  3. Wait around 5-10 minutes to trigger the Full Moon (Day 7 on the moon phase)
  4. Stand by while the Nightflower Pollen blooms
  5. Pick up the Ephemeral Blossom

It may appear more efficient to wait until nighttime for the Nightflower Pollen to bloom, but that method doesn’t work. Unfortunately, we must all play the waiting game starting from the evening instead. I, too, have encountered this issue, and my personal experimentation confirms it.

Windward Plains Area 3/4


In my gaming adventure, I stumbled upon a hidden Nightflower Pollen location nestled atop Area 3. To access it more conveniently, I suggest you hop over to Area 4 (Mineral Cave fast travel is your best bet). Once there, don’t forget to use your Seikret to ascend higher. After that, grab onto some handy vines to reach a raised platform. Voila! The pollen can be found tucked away near some Mining Outcrops. Happy hunting!

Windward Plains Area 10

The location of the Nightflower Pollen in Area 10 will be exposed and easily accessible. However, be mindful of any nearby creatures that may pose a threat.

To get to Area 17, follow the trail from Area 14. As you ascend, you’ll find yourself overlooking Zone 17, where the Nightflower Pollen blooms. Keep an eye out for it as it’s located close to some Honey and a Flashbug.

As a gamer, I’d roam these locations during the Full Moon, collecting Nightflower Pollen wherever I find it. Although this method isn’t as potent as the ones I’ve used before, it still yields a decent amount. Once gathered, I swap these pollens through Item Trades, usually in the same spot where Material Retrieval takes place. This trade-off leads me to Gold Relic Tickets and Hard Armor Spheres. These items are essential for enhancing my armor, including rare Decorations that provide various buffs.
