The second region in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features a tournament you can participate in. However, you can’t do that without completing a certain quest. That would be Ars Dimicatoria, which features a pretty interesting interaction.
After completing it, you can unlock the Kuttenberg Tournament mission. There will be a total of three fighting disciplines, and you will be rewarded with 200 Gorschen and a weapon for each if you win. Here, we will thoroughly guide you through all the objectives of this mission, giving you tips and what to keep in mind for each battle in the horizon.
How To Start The Kuttenberg Tournament Quest
You can compete in the tournament right after completing the Ars Dimicatoria quest, so speak with Menhard. There are three disciplines, but you need to participate in only one. However, we would recommend participating in all. The fee to participate would be 300 Groschen, but don’t worry, as you can win double the amount and, of course, some weapons.
Kuttenberg Tournament is a repeatable sidequest. After the first tournament, you can talk to Menhard again to register for another.
Once you’ve chosen your disciplines, we advise you to hang out at the guild until the tournament begins, so you don’t inadvertently skip it. By the way, the fee is approximately 100 Groschen.
Tournament Day
If you have chosen to fight in longsword or sword and shield disciplines, you will have to go to the armorer first on the tournament day. In the two aforementioned disciplines, you don’t use your own gear, so borrow it from the armorer and participate in the fight.
Given how far you have come in the game, you shouldn’t have any problems winning any of the fights. However, you can save your game before the fight starts so you can reload in case you lose.
In our battle with the first two combatants, neither one of them demonstrated the ability to execute a Master Strike, suggesting they may not be particularly skilled in this technique. Standard combos should suffice when facing these opponents. However, if you believe you have mastered the use of Master Strike, feel free to employ it during the fight.
Return the gear to the armour once you are done with the longsword or sword and shield disciplines. You can also buy them for 500 Groschen. Now, if you are also fighting in the free combat discipline, you can select any gear you want. This will be the easiest, as you can select your best gear.
After each victory, you can go to the chests on the side and open one based on the discipline you just conquered.

- Sword and shield: Shell hunting sword and 200 Groschen.
- Longsword: Horseman’s pick and 200 Groschen.
- Free combat: Kuttenberg heater shield and 200 Groschen.
