Really Hard

Teddi Mellencamp continues to share the realities of her cancer battle.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum defended her decision to share some of the ways that she’s been find some normalcy and escapism as she gets treated for the multiple tumors in her brain and lungs.

“I know I speak a lot about the fun and amazing things that I’ve been doing since all the tumors, and I have been doing them and it’s been my way of peace, coping, finding happiness,” Teddi said on her Instagram Stories March 15, “but I also wanted to send a reminder and a gentle, like, ‘I feel you,’ if you’re going through this, going through a hard time, that is also normal.”

Additionally, at the age of 43, she demonstrated that she’s no stranger to the struggles associated with her health fight, as well.

Teddi said, ‘Adapting to a new routine is something we all do, striving to find the best way to feel good at any given time. However, there are challenging nights, and tonight happens to be one of those.’

In a subsequent post, the host of Two T’s in a Pod, who has children Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (5) with her ex Edwin Arroyave, updated her followers about her health. She mentioned that she would begin a week of radiation treatment on March 17th. Additionally, she highlighted that the immunotherapy process can be quite challenging.

“Always trying to find a bit of the positive,” Teddi said. “Apparently the more that immunotherapy kicks your butt, the more it’s working, that’s what I’m told. That’s why I can only do the immunotherapy every three weeks, whereas my radiation, for example, that I start on Monday, I do for a week straight.”

The founder of All In With Teddi, who appeared in videos wearing a baseball hat atop a blonde wig, addressed the speculation surrounding her choice to occasionally wear a wig during her treatment process.

As an ardent admirer, I’ve been fielding numerous queries concerning my choice of wigs. People often wonder, “Why not flaunt a shaved head instead?” Well, let me tell you, there are times when I do! However, on a particular day yesterday afternoon, I opted to go without my wig, and honestly, I felt a pang of insecurity. So, I’m going to stick with what makes me feel the most confident.
