At long last, Towerborne is set to arrive on Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass next month, but there’s even more in store! In addition, developer Stoic will unveil a significant new update. This overhaul will enhance the progression system, skills, and much more, all while introducing cross-platform play and progression, with Steam included in the mix.
This update is all about mastering your class, where you’ll earn Skill Points by completing missions. These points can be used to upgrade Focus Skills and new Class Abilities, giving you extensive customization options and a wide range of possible builds. Additionally, the world map has been revamped with a more intricate questline.
Approximately 50 fresh, artisanally crafted missions are ready for you, along with a shift in positions for certain bosses. You’ll also find excitement in the arrival of two new Umbra enemies, the Merk Brawler among them, as well as new Legendary items, enhancements to Aspects, increased Job diversity, and many additional features. Plus, you now have the option to customize your control layout.
On April 29th, you can start mastering classes simultaneously with the console release. For additional information, take a look at the Xbox Wire post, or delve deeper into the fundamentals of the base version of Towerborne by reading our review to get a feel for its setting and combat mechanics.
