Nina Dobrev is enjoying her fiancée era.
Approaching half a year since Vampire Diaries alum and Olympic skier Shaun White got engaged, they mentioned that their hectic work commitments have hindered their ability to arrange their wedding.
Nina shared an exclusive story with Francesca Amiker from TopMob News. She said, “I was in Australia making a film, followed by Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. Currently, we’re in the phase of being engaged, which is quite special because it’s not a long-lasting stage. You spend half your life with a boyfriend and the other half with a husband, but being an ‘engaged’ couple is relatively brief.
As she put it, “I really want to enjoy it and not rush that process.”
The 36-year-old, who began dating Shaun in 2019, acknowledged that there are indeed many enjoyable aspects of being engaged.
She excitedly shared, “It’s such a joy to say ‘fiancé’,” and when it comes to planning, her top priority is clear: “My main aim is to figure out the best ways to minimize its environmental impact.
Beyond just being mindful during her engagement period, Nina has been actively working towards minimizing her environmental impact. The actress from “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” who is collaborating with SC Johnson for World Recycling Day on May 23, underlines that each of her choices, particularly in wedding planning and beyond, can significantly contribute to preserving the environment.
“Absolutely every single person counts and matters,” Nina argued. “It makes a big difference.”

Dobrev and White became friends following a party they attended together with companions, including her fellow Vampire Diaries cast members Kayla Ewell and Candice Accola King, at the inauguration of The Mayfair supper club in Las Vegas’ Bellagio Resort & Casino on New Year’s Eve.
A year later, during the coronavirus pandemic, Dobrev would post this picture from their party, along with a video of him lifting her up like in Dirty Dancing, only for them to tumble into the snow together. She captioned it, “What we thought 2020 would be like…what it actually turned out to be.
Rumors of a budding romance between Dobrev and White surfaced after they were seen cycling together in Malibu, California. According to a source who spoke to TopMob News, the duo started “moving towards a relationship” following their New Year’s Eve celebration, with things reportedly growing more serious between them since the coronavirus outbreak.
After spending several weeks in quarantine together, it appears that Dobrev and White have made their friendship official and are now openly recognized as a couple by their friends.
They publicly acknowledged their relationship on Instagram by both posting a picture showing the actress cutting White’s hair at home since hair salons were closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. In her caption, Dobrev jokingly added that she had now added “hairdresser” to her list of skills.

Accompanied by her boyfriend, both elegantly dressed in tuxedos, Dobrev turned heads in a stunning red Monot dress at the 28th yearly amfAR Gala held amidst the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
Before the main event of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco, the duo caught the qualifying round. On this special day, Dobrev donned a stylish, pale-toned suit from Smythe.
The two turned up the heat while vacationing in the Maldives.
