2025’s Digimon Convention has given us further insights into the collaboration between Digimon and Godzilla that Bandai hinted at in 2024. This crossover is a continuation of celebrations marking Godzilla’s 70th anniversary, honoring seven decades of monster mayhem and devastation. The initial teaser for the collaboration showed an image of WarGreymon fused with Godzilla. At this year’s convention, more intriguing Digimon fusions with Toho’s iconic giant monsters have been revealed. According to the new lore, these Digimon are influenced by G-Cells, which are cells from Godzilla that emit radiation. The influence of these G-Cells transformed WarGreymon into a new variant called G-Eroded Wargreymon, which is half Godzilla.
Apart from G-Eroded Wargreymon, there are other recently created hybrid Digimon such as MetalGreymon G-Erosion Mode, SkullGreymon G-Erosion Mode, and Machinedramon MFS-3 Mode. Unlike most Greymon fusions which are inspired by different forms of Godzilla, the Machinedramon MFS-3 Mode is modeled after Mechagodzilla from the movie “Godzilla SOS”. These new Godzilla and Digimon fusion creatures will be accessible on the upcoming line of Digivice toys based on Digimon x Godzilla. The toys will be available in two versions, one with color and one without. By pressing and holding specific buttons on the V-Pets, you can play Godzilla music, including the famous main theme. Additionally, these virtual pets will feature other Toho monsters like Mothra, Rodan, SpaceGodzilla, Destroyah, Ghidorah, MechaGodzilla, and Hedorah.

Excitingly, I just learned during the recent Digimon Con stream that fans can pre-order the upcoming Digimon x Godzilla devices through Premium Bandai! After the stream concluded, pre-orders for these incredible toys went live. If you’re eager to get your hands on one, you have until April 21st, 2025, to place your order! The toys will be shipped out at a later date. Each of these virtual pet toys retails for 7,700 yen, which is approximately $51.81 USD. Although the product isn’t yet available on Premium Bandai’s US website, keep an eye out for updates!
Other Digimon Products Revealed at Digimon Con
At the Digimon Con 2025, they unveiled new collectibles inspired by Digimon and Godzilla fusion characters, such as a miniature chibi statue of MetalGreymon G-Erosion Mode that was streamed live, along with sneak peeks at other figures featuring Greymon-infused G-Cells in preliminary stages. The convention also disclosed fresh details about the Trading Card Game (TCG), including upcoming card packs and decks to coincide with the simultaneous worldwide debut of the brand. Additionally, they showcased a functional V-Pet of the D-3 Digivice from Digimon Adventure 02, which is an advanced recreation of the original D-3 V-Pet launched in the early 2000s, featuring modern visuals and new sounds.
Premium Bandai is accepting pre-orders for the “Digimon Card Game Tamer’s Evolution Box – Rise of Digimon”. This impressive collector’s item includes a neat storage box for your cards, four dice, two sets of premium card sleeves, and reprints of twelve cards featuring new artwork. The sleeves and box are designed with the famous character Omnimon as their theme. Although the Evolution Box is aesthetically pleasing, it carries a substantial price of 200 dollars on the Premium Bandai USA website.
