What Is Tougen Anki About?
Yura Urushibara’s “Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise” has been given permission for an English translation by Yen Press. This means that the first book in the series is now available in stores. As for what to anticipate from the upcoming “Tougen Anki” anime, REMOW offers a sneak peek, saying, “‘You carry the blood of a demon…’ For generations, some humans have been born with the blood of demons (Oni) and Momotaro. Originally, the Oni lived in isolation due to their own destructive nature. However, this peace was broken by an attack led by Momotaro. Over many centuries, these two groups formed the ‘Momotaro Agency’ and the ‘Oni Agency.’ Ever since, they have been engaged in constant conflict.
In the narrative unfolds, I find myself witnessing the journey of Shiki Ichinose, who unexpectedly uncovers his heritage as an Oni. This discovery sparks a quest for Shiki to unearth the destiny hidden within his bloodline, leading him towards an encounter with the Oni residing deep within himself. Here begins a fresh chapter of dark heroism in this tale of demons.
