In the Star Wars universe, the beloved character Kit Fisto is making a comeback. The Jedi Master with the distinctive tentacles in his hair earned a special place among fans when he flashed a smile during the Battle of Geonosis in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones in 2002. His cool factor skyrocketed even higher when an underwater lightsaber demonstration on Mon Cala (as seen in a 2003 episode of Star Wars: Clone Wars) and his fierce battle against the multi-limbed lightsaber wielder General Grievous (in a 2008 episode of The Clone Wars) were unveiled.
Previously appearing primarily as action figures and silent roles in recent editions of Marvel’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “Yoda” comics, Kit Fisto will now share the limelight with Mace Windu and Shaak Ti in the new Dark Horse Comics miniseries titled “Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories—Tides of Terror“.
The upcoming four-part series, penned by George Mann (Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – The Nameless Terror) and illustrated by Luis Morocho (Marvel’s Voices: Community), presents an independent tale on the uncharted world of Tordus. Here, Kit Fisto plunges into an ocean teeming with mysterious secrets and haunting deep-sea terrors.
On the planet Tordus, where the ocean reigns supreme, Jedi Master Kit Fisto finds himself embarking on a mission with Mace Windu and Shaak Ti. Their task: to explore a contentious underwater research facility that’s in imminent danger of being submerged and destroyed. To make matters worse, colossal monsters are lurking around them. With disaster knocking at the door, Kit Fisto’s peaceful investigation suddenly transforms into a desperate rescue operation! As innocent lives hang in the balance amidst the ravenous sea creatures, can our heroic Jedi manage to save them from the treacherous depths of Tordus’ ocean waters?
