The much-loved social simulation game “Tomodachi Life” by Nintendo, originally released for the 3DS, is set to have a sequel. As announced during Nintendo Direct, the new title called “Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream” will be available on Nintendo Switch in 2026. You can watch the first trailer here.
As a gamer, I’ve got to say, diving into this franchise feels like slipping back into a pair of comfy shoes. You’ve got your Miis bustling about, dancing, bickering, and more – all accompanied by the familiar text-to-speech chatter. Each Mii has their own unique quirks and challenges to tackle. The “dream” state is back too, offering up some laugh-out-loud moments with oversized characters popping up for a good chuckle.
Despite the fact that the earlier game was one of the top-selling games on the Nintendo 3DS, selling nearly 6.8 million copies, it wasn’t unexpected that a sequel would eventually be released. However, considering we’re deep into the lifespan of the Nintendo Switch, it may have seemed unusual. But don’t worry, keep an eye out for updates on Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream in the upcoming year!
