There’s a lot of excitement surrounding InZOI as it quickly became the most wished-for game on Steam since its early release. This prompts speculation: Could InZOI potentially be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox platforms?
It’s not hard to understand why you might be curious, given that the Korean life-simulation game appears to deliver many features that Sims enthusiasts have long asked Electronic Arts (EA) to incorporate.
The Sims 4 hasn’t seen significant challenge in its popularity, showcasing a strong demand for life-simulation games. Launched as far back as 2014, it has been largely uncontested in terms of competition since then, with little information available about Project Rene.
But without showing all our cards at once, it’s both good and bad news. Let’s get to it!
Will InZOI come PS5, PS4 and Xbox?

Indeed, InZOI is set to appear on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S gaming platforms. However, it has been confirmed via the InZOI Discord FAQ that it will not be making an appearance on the PlayStation 4.
Given that the game takes advantage of Unreal Engine 5 and numerous AI aspects, it’s likely not unexpected that it won’t be playable on older generations of consoles.
The 2013 vintage console would find it overwhelming, as even the advanced PlayStation 4 Pro struggles due to its outdated hardware.
It’s quite astonishing that the developers believe they can even make it function on modern gaming consoles given InZOI’s substantial size and requirements.
Personally, I’m eagerly anticipating that the PlayStation 5 Pro could potentially be the ideal platform for experiencing InZOI once it becomes available on those systems someday. By the way, let me share some insights about its potential release date!
When could InZOI come PS5, PS4 and Xbox?

So far, the developers have merely mentioned that InZOI might appear on systems such as PS5 and Xbox in the future, but they haven’t provided specific details or a definite release timeline.
As we said previously, InZOI won’t be coming to PS4.
Just last month, on March 28th, 2025, InZOI started its early access phase. As of now, it’s unclear if the developers plan to make the game available exclusively on consoles once it leaves early access.
It’s possible that the upcoming release could adopt a similar approach to the PC version, offering an early access to a character creation tool for console gamers before the main game launches.
Once we learn any additional details, such as whether it’s going to be released in an early access version for consoles or not, we’ll make sure to keep you informed.
Until then, if you’re desperate to get started, you will have to fork out for a fairly beefy rig.
