Live from New York, it’s Morgan W-…
On the 30th of March, during his appearance as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live (SNL), country singer Morgan Wallen surprised many viewers by leaving the stage early, even before the end credits had fully rolled – an infrequent action in SNL’s half-century run.
TopMob News has reached out to the “I’m the Problem” singer for comment and has not heard back.
After sharing a warm hug with the newly-Oscar-winning guest host, Mikey Madison (who recently triumphed at the Oscars for her outstanding role in ‘Anora’), Wallen swiftly departed the stage mere moments before the closing credits even started playing.
As a lifestyle expert,
“Wow, I can’t believe Morgan Wallen just walked off the Saturday Night Live stage during the end credits! In all my years of watching SNL, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen before.
Shortly following his departure from the stage, Wallen posted a picture that seemed to depict a personal aircraft on a runway, accompanied by the caption, “Transport me to the land of God.
The unspecified singer from Tennessee, known for his “Just in Case” track, hasn’t spoken out about his controversial exit from SNL, but a source close to him clarified to TMZ that the action itself held no significance. Apparently, he often leaves the studio in the same manner as during rehearsals when he believed it was time to call it a day.
This is not the first time Wallen has stirred controversy with regard to the NBC sketch series.
In October 2020, his long-awaited musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live (SNL), marking his initial appearance, was called off when clips from TikTok emerged showing him socializing without a mask and kissing women at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. This led to a wave of criticism from social media users who felt he was disregarding social distancing guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a recent Instagram post, I humbly admit that I made a hasty move over the weekend, one which I now realize could have potentially compromised my long-term aspirations and cherished dreams. Though I’m not yet certain, I believe I may have been careless with regards to COVID-19 precautions. Recognizing this, I wholeheartedly respect the decision made by the show, as they were undoubtedly placed in a difficult position due to my actions.
After two months, it was finally Morgan’s turn to make his debut on Saturday Night Live. In that very episode, he humorously addressed the ongoing controversy in one of the sketches.
