The ‘prank’ from last year’s Pocketpair is turning into a genuine game, and we can expect the Palworld dating simulator to arrive whether we’re ready or not. Yes, you guessed it – the Palworld page has gone live on Steam! Feel free to add it to your wishlist without anyone being any the wiser.

Romance or eat the pals, the choice is yours.

In Steam’s official game listing for Palworld – More Than Just Friends, it provides a glimpse into what players can anticipate: You take on the role of a transfer student in the illustrious Palpagos Private Academy. Here, you will encounter distinct companions (pals) and experience school life through friendship and romantic relationships. However, the choice is yours – you may choose to maintain friendships, pursue romantic entanglements, or even dismember and consume them if that’s your preference.

It’s quite surprising, but ever since Pocketpair’s April Fools joke in 2024, fans have been pleading for a genuine Palworld dating simulator. Seeing this as a potential goldmine, Pocketpair is planning to seize the moment! In fact, last year, their community manager Bucky even hinted at making it a reality if the post garnered over 10 likes.

Doki Doki Literature Club inspiration?

Some of the screenshots I’ve seen remind me a lot of Doki Doki Literature Club in terms of character dynamics, as it seems that some of your Pals might exhibit jealous behavior towards your interactions with others. Therefore, you should approach certain relationships with care.

  • Katress – A transfer student with mysterious powers. SheShe also has a cute side that gets a little jealous when you talk to other students.
  • Lovander – A senior who makes a love approach to new students every year. She calls her love approach “hunting”.

  • Zoe – A childhood friend. She lost her parents when she was very young and lives alone with her older brother, Grizzbolt. She is always cool and strong-willed, and for some reason, she is especially critical of you.
  • Black Marketeer – He is the student council president who has great trust from teachers and students. On the other hand, there are also black rumors.
