This month, it was revealed by none other than Jez Corden (exclusively), that a portable Xbox device, known internally as “Project Kennan,” is being developed in collaboration with another hardware manufacturer.
Today, there’s a hint-filled trailer now streaming online (it used to be on Twitter), suggesting that the rumored Xbox handheld might in fact be an advanced ASUS ROG Ally gaming device for portable play.
In a subtle manner, Xbox seemed to validate the post using the Side-eye Monkey Puppet meme, implying affirmation.
I couldn’t be more thrilled about this partnership.
I strongly endorse the ROG Ally X as the top-tier PC gaming portable device currently on the market, thanks to its outstanding performance and user-friendly design. What sets it apart is its ability to accommodate VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), a feature not found in all PC handhelds.
Hearing that the much-awaited Xbox portable device turns out to be the ROG Ally is exactly the news I was hoping for.

It’s quite possible that upcoming ROG Ally devices featuring the latest AMD Ryzen Z2 processors, slated for release this year, may belong to the same generation as the rumored Xbox handheld device.
If this is the case, then the Xbox handheld could be a very powerful portable gaming device.
