Following an outstanding debut last year, I can’t contain my excitement as I eagerly await the return of my favorite new comedy series on Netflix – Tires. If you’ve watched it, you’ll understand why it’s not surprising that this is the show we’re discussing. Tires, a hilarious workplace comedy created by Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben, and McKeever, has left an indelible mark on Netflix, even with its shoestring budget. In fact, a second season was ordered before the first episode even premiered! So, get ready to laugh out loud again as we delve back into the world of car mechanics at the Tires garage.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that on Tuesday, Netflix unveiled the comeback date of my favorite series, Tires, through a sneak peek clip. In this clip, the lead characters Will (Gerben) and Shane (Gillis) are seen squabbling over money, sunglasses, and Boscov’s. The clip culminates with Netflix announcing that Season 4 of Tires will be back on our screens starting June 5th! For a full view of the teaser, check out the video below!
What’s particularly interesting about Netflix revealing the comeback of Tires is that they haven’t disclosed the number of episodes in Season 2 yet. The first season, with its mere six episodes, each lasting less than half an hour, was quite compact. Considering the impressive performance of Season 1 and the star-studded cast joining for Season 2, it seems plausible that Tires will have an extended second series. There’s a buzz online hinting that Season 2 might comprise as many as 12 episodes, effectively doubling the size of Season 1.
As I eagerly anticipate the second season, it’s clear that the ensemble has significantly expanded, with Thomas Haden Church taking center stage among an impressive roster of guest performers. This Academy Award-nominated talent will be stepping into the role of Shane’s father in this upcoming season.
Additional stars joining the cast of “Tires” Season 2 are: Vince Vaughn, famously known for “The Wedding Crashers”; Ron White, a regular on the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour”; Jon Lovitz, a well-loved comedian; Veronika Slowikowska from “Ginny & Georgia”; and stand-up comic Steph Tolven. Andrew Schulz will return to his guest role from Season 1.
In the second season of “Tires,” as depicted by Netflix’s logline, Will and Shane strive to advance both personally and professionally, unaware of the potential sacrifices they might have to make in the process of conducting business. For further details, you can read the official series synopsis provided below.
In a bid to transform his late father’s struggling auto repair business, Steven Gerben, who is often anxious and lacks the necessary qualifications, faces relentless harassment from his cousin-turned-employee, Shane Gillis.
